Chase slammed his fist on his alarm clock as it blared the dreaded noise. He groaned and rolled over, rubbing his face.

"I fucking hate Monday's." He groaned, sitting up.

"Wait a second..." he muttered, smiling. "It's Monday!" Just like that, he was up and out of bed, pulling on a pair of jeans, his boots and a shirt. The brunette bolted down the stairs and into the kitchen.

"It's Monday!" He cheered, ignoring the confused look his and Marshall's mothers and his auntie gave him.

He charged through the dining room where his uncle, Marshall's and his father sat.

"It's Monday!"

"Is he okay?" His uncle whispered to his father.

"Okay? Yes. Normal? No bloody way."

"Chase!" His mother called, walking into the room. The hyped up teen stopped and looked at her. "Can you wake up Marshall and Everest please?"

"Sure." He bounced up the stairs again and knocked on Marshall's bedroom door.

"Guys! Come on! It's fucking Monday!" He Said excitedly.

"We know it's fucking Monday, what else do you think we do on a Monday morning?" Marshall shouted back. There was a loud thud, presumably from Everest hitting Marshall with a book. Chase laughed and went back downstairs.

He caught a glimpse of the photo frame made up of ten smaller ones. In the middle was a picture of him and Skye. He smiled.

Just a few more hours, Darlin'.

Chase practically bounced as he watched the familiar car and horse box arrive. He smiled as he waited to see his girlfriend jump out of the car an run up to him and cover him in kisses. His smile faded as he watched her mother go into their home on the phone, Rubble collect the grooming box and buckets, Tracker carry a black saddle and bridle and Zuma open the box and lead out Swift. Each of the boy's looked down.

"W-where's Skye?" Chase asked Zuma. The older brunette ignored him and clicked his tongue for the palomino to follow him.

"She was spotted at the comp Chase." Tracker Said, standing opposite his sister's boyfriend.

"Of course she was, it was nationals, hundreds of people were there." He smiled.

"No...I mean spotted." Tracker looked to Rubble for help. The blonde walked over and sighed.

"What he's saying is there were talent scouts there, and Skye not only took all first places for performance and presentation but was wanted by the best of the best. She's looking at the next Olympic Games. She's going through paperwork now." He said sadly. "We're proud of her but... we're all gonna miss her. Zuma doesn't know what to do." The blonde turned to grab the box of trophies and ribbons while Tracker took the tack to put away.

Chase couldn't breathe. He'd finally found his girl and she was leaving. Yes, it was her dream but he wouldn't be with her. He sighed as he looked towards the barn. The brunette slowly walked in and over to Zuma who was leaning against the stall door, petting and talking to Swift. Chase leaned next to him. Both boys stared at the horse, his golden coat reminding them of Skye's hair.

"I'll miss her too." Chase said, looking at the older boy who stared straight ahead. "She'll miss you more than she'll miss me."

"That's not true." Zuma mumbled. "She'll miss you so much. Even when she's at home and you're at your place she whines like a lovesick puppy." He smiled slightly. Before he knew what was happening, Chase was being hugged by a sniffling Zuma.

"I'm sorry I gave you such a crap time, Chase. You're a great guy and you make my sister happy." Zuma said.

"We talked this out already," Chase chuckled. "But don't worry about it." The two sighed.

"I'm gonna miss her."

"Me too." The two perched on a bale of hay and watched Swift and Caspin in their neighbouring stalls. They heard a set of tyres on gravel and assumed it was Chase's parents returning from the feed store and stayed inside.

"Hey partner." Came a voice from the end of the barn. The brunette's looked up to see a blonde girl in jeans and a t-shirt, her hair pulled back into a braid and a pair of tan boots on her feet.

Skye.

"Skye!" The two boys ran forward and embraced the girl tightly.

"Oh my boys." She smiled, hugging back.

"But, the contract. Your career." Zuma stuttered.

"I told them if they wanted me that much, they'd wait. Because I don't want that now if you," She turned to Chase. "Are not there with me. And I'd miss my brother's of course."

"I love you so much." Chase hugged her again. "But your future, that's what you wanted."

"Like I said, if they want me, they'll wait. Besides, my futures right in front of me."
