The Murder Trail ........
Leading One to the Other ........Lucinda thought that having twelve just men on the jury at her trail was more laughable, only because half of them were as black hearted as herself. Just as much a Pirate in another sense and half of them she had bedded. She had been forced from a young age to let him at every chance, to let him paw all over her body when he was in his cups. To force his way on her as if she was nothing but like the women in the taverns that got paid to let any man with a bit of gold in the pocket that could afford that type.
Now she was waiting on how she was to die, she had rather it had been by the sword in a battle that was a fitting way to die.
But like her Mother before her who had been hung as a Witch she would share the same fate. But she had been tried for his murder she had, had it be said for her defence the times he had forced her from that union had been born her son Tommy. But the twelve just men, upstanding in their lives had seen that as no reason to murder a man.
The sudden eruption in the court room brought her out of her thoughts, she saw Master no now he really was the Captain Logan of the ship The Barnacle. It had been her Father's ship not hers being that she was a woman, so now it and she belonged to Captain Logan. Lucinda watched as he was called up to speak in front of the Judge, it was too far for her to hear what was being said ........Lucy was in shock at the sight of her brother Tom, who Dave had taunted her with the information that Tom had been forced to be part of a life on the streets as a rent boy. But he had been sold on and on again. It had got too much for her and in a moment of madness she had the dagger in her hand, while he had still gone on calling her weak. She had got rid of him in the way she did. Afterwards she had realised he was the only one who really knew where Tom was. Now he had been killed her only chance gone, she watched Tom approach the Judge and he looked over at her. He gave her that big 'Tom smile' and started to talk to the Judge.
