Lucy and Lucinda Togetherness.
A Split Sense of the Same Time .........If you woke up as Lucy had and not only seen but all her senses had come alive, she could smell the decay, the taste of a very old smell of the sea that sounded the wrong way to explain it, but it was how it felt. But it was being able to 'Touch' the wood that was all around her, not just the bed she lay in. But the wall's, she knew in reality had wallpaper on them, now she felt cold wood with her fingers. But it didn't make no sense to her logical mind, she slapped her face "Ouch !." That hurt, so she was awake and where she slapped her cheek it stung. Her flu stricken body had to be the reason for what was happening, there was no way to be able to be in a cabin like bedroom as Lucy saw she was. She got out of bed, her feet touched wood where was her pink heart shaped rug that was always there. She looked under the bed, there was nothing there. Her feet felt cold to the damp wooden floor, in patches there were pools of water. She dipped her finger in the tiny pool and licked her finger, she spat out the foul tasting water, it was salty sea water but it left a terrible taste in her mouth. Lucy wanted to go and clean her teeth to get rid of the taste, but her bedroom wasn't now her bedroom, she didn't know if her bathroom existed ?. Outside this wooden cabin, she felt frightened to even think of opening the door. Then it started to happen !. The door knob started to turn slowly twisting very slowly, her bedroom door had a handle on it that you pressed down to open the door. Her eyes kept looking at the door, if it was Tom behind the door trying to frighten her then he was for it. Lucy wanted to go and pull the door open and frighten him back. The door on it's own opened up, Lucy felt a chill go right through her body she automatically moved herself away from the people who entered her bedroom / cabin. One was a man who wore a patch over his eye, the other man carried a leather bag they both walked over to the bed. The very same bed she had just moments before had got out of. She watched the men approaching the bed, she saw herself still in the bed. Her body was moving from side to side there was a sheen of dampness on her forehead. The man with the bag leaned over her in the bed, she watched him touch her forehead. She felt the fingers of the hand on her forehead it felt cold and damp and like a slime like touch. She brushed the hand away but it wasn't there, it was being brushed away from the forehead of herself in the bed. Lucy felt very confused as she watched the two men turn and talk to each other. It was to her all done in silence their lips moved like in a conversation, no sounds did she hear. Lucy looked towards the bed with the moving about a necklace hidden from her eyes at first had now shown around the neck, she put her hand to her own neck, to her own necklace. The only difference was that the stone in the middle of hers was a blue stone but the one around her neck in the bed was a green colour. The men left the cabin she moved towards the bed, she looked down at herself it was like having an 'Out of Body Experience.' "Was she dead ?. Had she died ?." "Was this how it felt ?." All these questions kept going round and round in her mind, but she didn't have any answers that could explain all she could see. She bent down, slowly her hand lowered to touch the cheek of herself but as she did, the eyes opened wide looking into her own eyes. Both seemed to stare at each other blue eyes into green eyes !. Someone knocked on the door, she shrank back as a young boy came into the room he was dressed in a outfit not unlike her brother Tom wore when he played at dressing up as a Pirate. The woman in the bed spoke to the boy, she got out of the bed again the conversation she didn't hear any of it. She saw the woman take off a bed gown and point over to almost where she was stood. The young boy he too looked over at her, but Lucy saw that there was a dress right by her feet so as she understood the woman's gesture was for the boy to bring her the dress to her. Lucy moved her foot off the dress it slightly moved, she watched the young boy look at the woman then the dress she watched his face flush as he ran from the room. Lucinda had looked at her dress at the same time as Tommy had done, but Lucinda thought the dress had moved. She kept looking towards the same spot, there was someone in her cabin but she didn't see anyone, only the feeling of breath being pulled inwards and being held. Lucinda dressed quickly to go to see her Father as she opened her cabin door she felt the night air held it's own coldness Lucinda looked back into her cabin her eyes captured the glint from a blue stone, but then she saw blue eyes looking at her, then the vision had gone into the air. Lucy felt herself being sucked back as she felt the icy grip that was pulling her backwards so quick she forgot to breathe. Lucy awoke to find Tom bouncing up and down on her bed, he was dressed in his Pirate outfit with him he had his crutch. She felt tired, she wanted to go back to sleep but she was worried about the woman who had my face. That was how she was looking at it, it had to have been part of her delirium like she was two people but the same person. Lucy felt hungry, so she chased Tom out of the bedroom with the crutch in her hand she started to play act using the crutch, she had pulled the pink heart shaped rug from under the bed in their play fight it had been kicked under the bed. She must have spilt her drink in the night as on the floor was a tiny pool of water, she tasted it by dipping her finger in it. It tasted of salt, then she remembered her Mother had left her a glass of salted water in case her stomach felt sickly again, she was glad it had fallen as it tasted vile. Lucy lifted her leg up in a bent up fashion, she started to walk with crutch towards a laughing Tom. As she got nearer to him, with her 'tap, tap, tap' sound she laughingly said "Aye, Aye Captain Daniels." She didn't know why she had called Tom by that name, apart from being their surname of 'Daniels'. As she played 'Pirate's' with Tom, she was not aware of being watched by a man with a blackened eye socket with a scar across it, who was leaning on a crutch that from it tiny rivers.of wet slime ran off it onto the floor. He watched Lucinda play with the cabin boy Tommy, he was getting angry as he watched them, did she not realise she had a standard to keep up with. Well maybe a spell being ducked into the sea would bring her mind back to who she was. As well as sending her back down under the deck, to be tamed by the new Master who looked like he would tame the wildness in her body. This time he would not run him through, Captain Daniels decided to let nature look after itself. It was that or see his daughter be hung like her mother before her as the witch she was. With her tales of having visions of seeing another her, but with a necklace with a blue stone and she had blue eyes not green. Captain Daniels hit the cabin door with his crutch, it shut with a loud bang. It stopped their game, Lucy looked at her bedroom door just in the shadows before the door slammed shut, she saw a man on a crutch his back was towards her. She heard the 'tap, tap' sound as the door closed. The air suddenly smelt of sea and decaying wood. ..........
