It wasn't unwilled, but it was unplanned.
She didn't expect a nuptial knot at 19.
He didn't expect a spouse by his side at 23.

"Di, you didn't wish him?" Gauri looked at Annika who stood there, expressionless. Annika shook her head and went inside. Even if her efforts went futile, she didn't stop trying. She sighed and proceeded her way out. She noticed Abhishek lure her from a distance. She glared at him and started walking more.

"Sahil... wake up..."
Shivaay woke up to these painful murmurs. Annika was asleep and seemed like she was having a nightmare. Shivaay immediately hugged her tightly and caressed her lightly. She seemed to calm down a little after that. She hugged him back in her sleep and he held her as she slept. His heart ached a little when he saw her lie very fragile. He couldn't imagine a life without Omkara or Rudra. He had no idea what kind of hell Annika was going through because that was one thing he never wanted to relate with her. The thought of losing Om and Rudra sent shivers down his spine. He looked at her, and realized that she was entirely broken and hardly living, after all, that would be him if he was in her place. Also, he didn't know how to comfort her and console her. But he wanted her to have a better life because he knew that was what her parents would want for her.

"Is Di alright?" Gauri asked when Annika got up to refill their breakfast plate. Shivaay scrunched his brows,
"Are YOU alright? Why are your eyes puffy?"
Gauri shifted awkwardly, "Yes Jiju." She looked at Omkara for a brief moment. Something seemed to have changed in between those two. "Just that, it's Sahil's birthday."
Shivaay nodded understandingly. He looked at Annika who had her grief completely concealed. He sighed, things had to change.

"Are you sure you don't want me to tell Shivaay?" Omkara asked as he pressed his lips in slight disdain. "We can sue..."
"Omkara Ji, I'm sure I don't want to tell anyone. But thank you." Gauri replied as worry lines spread on her forehead. Omkara nodded and patted her shoulders.
"I'll be back."
Gauri hoped he wasn't planning on doing anything that would make her regret telling him later.
After around an hour, he came back to their cottage and Gauri immediately followed him to the room. Rudra had some errands to run for Shivaay, so they were all alone. Om took out his hand which had blood dripping down the knuckles.
"What the hell... Where were you all this while?" Gauri immediately reached for the first aid box and started tending his wounds.
"The Hospital; I admitted him to the GH nearby and came." He replied nonchalantly and she was sure her eyes would come out of her sockets.
