Emberheart opened her eyes to darkness, and a cold stone ground beneath her feet. "H-Hello?" she called out shivering in the ice-cold air. Then, a light flickered in front of her eyes, sparkling.

"The fire inside is now ignited, and will send out its fury in a blind rage. I'm sorry. This is your fate." A million voices said, coming from the small light.

"What? Wait-!" The light flickered out, and the stone beaneath her paws vanished, Emberheart gasped, screaming as she fell. The dark ginger warrior hit the ground, and her eyes flew open. It was a dream.. Wait, whats that smell? Emberheart sniffed the air, no one was in the warriors den. "Blood and..." Emberheart ran outside, widening her eyes. "...Fire!" Cats screeched everywhere, blood splattered on their pelts, including ashes. Emberheart ran, jumping away from the smaller brands of fire, and running away from the larger flames. "Whats going on?!" Emberheart screeched to Angelfur, who had a bit of a scorched tail.

"We woke up to a smell of fire, not as bad as this, then a tabby tom came in the camp with a white she-cat, and attacked everyone. Come on! Go find them!" Angelfur ordered, Emberheart nodded, running blindly threw the terror. Emberheart saw a large, red, burning flame that toward over her head. She hissed as she skidded to a stop. "I can't run threw this." Emberheart coughed, choking up ash. Her ears flicked when she heard a screach on the other side of the flames.

"Pinepaw? I'm comming!" Emberheart yelled, backing up. Emberheart stopped, crouching into a hunting postion. Your going to have to jump.  Emberheart told her self, then narrowed her eyes on the flame. Running forward, Emberheart let out a scream as she jumped over the large wall of fire, the edges of the flames scorched her belly. Once her paws touhced the ground, Emberheart stumbled on one of them, making her fall, and roll to the side.

Stumbling up, Emberheart looked at the tabby pelt of Pinepaw, knocking Mosspaw aside with the help of Snowpaw. "Pinepaw? What are you doing?" The tom turned around, then flicked his tail, signaling for Snowpaw to leave. The white she cat fled, jumping over the other side of the buring wall.

"I'm getting revenge on this monsterous Clan." He hissed, flexing his claws and narrowing his amber eyes. Emberheart fluffled up her pelt, then looked down at the hooked claws of Pinepaw. In each one was a small, tan colored object, with a red tip(match). That must be what started the fire. Emberheart thought, swallowing.

"What do you mean?" Emberheart yelled back, taking a step backwards.

"You wouldn't ever understand. You fox-heart!" Pinepaw hissed, lunging foward and smacking Emberheart to the side. She was to shocked to take action and dodge, which left her stumbling to the side. Pain seared threw her, not just because of the wound he just gave her.

"Your not going to fight back, are you? Of course you aren't." Emberheart didn't reply, closing one eye from the smack. Taking a step forward towards the insane tom, Emberheart spoke.

"Is this about your litter-mates? Or something else? Please Pinepaw, you can just tell me." she pleaded.

Pinepaw bared his teeth. "Its not that simple, Snowpaw is the only one who sees this wretched mess of a Clan. Every one who I thought ever cared about me was a lie, including your mouse-brained fake StarClan. If they were real, I wouldn't be born to this life!" He screeched, lunging forward at Emberheart. She jumped out of the way, Pinepaw's claws grazing her pelt.

"Stop this! You don't live in a wretched clan, and you haven't been lied to. Just please-" Emberheart was cut off when Pinepaw jumped at her, pinning the she-cat down. Emberheart gasped for air, winded. Before she could breathe normaly Pinepaw bit down on her throat, tearing threw the skin. Emberheart cried out, struggling to breath.

"Say goodbye," Pinepaw released his bite, then raised a claw. "..Ember-"

"Pinepaw! Stop this!" Emberheart faintly heard the howl of Medicine cat apprentice Nightpaw. Everything else started to become muffled, but she could still make out what was going on. Pinepaw got off of Emberheart, turning to the black she-cat.

"Oh, its you." Pinepaw growled, slowly walking forward. Nightpaw didn't flinch, staring straight at Pinepaw's burning amber gaze. Nightpaw didn't reply.

"You won't fight me, your a medicine cat." Pinepaw sneered.

Nightpaw took a step forward. "You brought this upon yourself, and I will fight you." She didn't bare her claws.

Pinepaw screeched, and as he ran towards Nightpaw, he scratched the ground with his claws, creating more fire from the two-leg objects. The little fire creating sticks dropped when he lashed a paw at Nightpaws face, then tackled her.

Nightpaw grunted, still not showing her claws as Pinepaw swiped at her. Finally, Nightpaw kicked the tabby tom off, making him stumble backwards. Pinepaw gasped, mouth open but just breathing ash. Nightpaw slammed her paw across Pinepaw's face, Emberheart narrowed her eyes, seeing something fly from one of Nightpaw's claws. Is that a berry? Emberheart thought, coughing up blood.

Pinepaw landed on the ground with a thump, and the little object that came from Nightpaw fell into his open mouth. Suddenly Pinepaw started choking from it, though when he swallowed it only became worse.

"W-What did you do?" He hissed, thrashing his paws and struggling to breathe.

Nightpaw looked straight in his eyes. "Nightshade berries." She answered.

Half of Pinepaw's face was burried in the ground, making dirt fall in his mouth when he gasped for air. Then, the burning fire faded from his eyes, showing a cloudy orange. Pinepaw stopped breathing, and Nightpaw looked away, almost as if she didn't want to see her former friend die.

Thunder roared overhead, and a little drop of rain landed on Emberheart's pelt as her vision turned dull and gray. Looking over, Emberheart saw the body of Pinepaw in the ground, half of his face was visible. The fire he spread earlier was beginning to die down from the little rain that fell down, but a small bit reached to the face of Pinepaw, begging to burn the fur off.

Emberheart looked away, and with effort she sighed. I guess this is goodbye. Emberheart closed her eyes, waiting for StarClan to come.

But they didn't.
