I woke up; sunlight shining through the windows. I rubbed my eyes and forced myself to get up. I grabbed my towel and some clothes. I quickly took a shower and brushed my teeth. I remembered that I was going to move to his..... house. I packed some clothes in my suitcase and things I "needed." I was totally not taking my PS4.
Is this really worth pleasing him? What would you have done grandpa?.... I got ready, ran down the stairs, made myself some breakfast and walked to school. I talked to my friends until it was time for class.
It was finally the end of the day. My father picked me up to drop me off at the mansion.
He questioned, "Does your cheek still..... hurt?" He kept his eyes on the road but, I heard the guilt in his voice.
"No...... not anymore. Anyways, I have my two roommates and their waiting for me at the house." I quickly changed the subject.
He glanced at me, "I assume they're your friends?" I nodded; not wanting to push the conversation further.
We finally arrived at the mansion. I took my suitcase; about to leave the car until I remembered something important.
I looked straight at him, "Tell mother that I love her."
He walked with me to the door.
"Alright." He started walking towards the car but, I stopped him.
"Father.... I love you."
He stopped; didn't even look at me and left without saying a word.
I thought, "Wow, I love you too daughter! Let's just get this over with."
I opened the door and stumbled inside. We saw five bloody boys on the floor.
Abby raised an eyebrow, "The hell? Why are there incubi in the house?!"
She took out her staff and Ganeet formed her hands into fists. However, I stopped them.
I raised my voice, "Woah! Calm down! They're injured. Abby will help get them cleaned, Ganeet will clean the floor and I will cook food."
I was mad at them for trying to hurt INJURED demons! I mean if they're evil, it would've made sense. I would've beat them up by now but, for now I will be nice.
It took a few hours for them to wake up. They were exhausted from all the energy they used.
The one with the black curls lifted an eyebrow, "Huh? How are we healed?"
I paused and walked into the living room.
"It was Abby. By the way.... what happened to you guys? Why are you injured and in my house?" I stared at them, waiting for an answer.
The one with whiskey eyes spoke, "We're sorry, we got attacked by misfits..."
I knew he was lying about the misfits part because I knew they could take on humans.
"What misfi-"
The ginger one cut me off "She knows what we are."
"So you can read my mind, huh? Well that doesn't answer my question. What are they? Demons? Devils?" I remained unfazed as they stared shocked at my suggestions.
The green-eyed guy questioned, "What are YOU?"
"I'm a human but, my friend, Abby, who healed you guys is a witch. Now, tell me what happened."
They told me how Malix and his gang of devils had beaten them to a pulp and left them bloody.
"Okay so, Sam. You decided that it was a good idea to go make fun of the devils?!?" Abby's eyes blazed with anger.
Ganeet slowly walked into the room; exhausted from cleaning the lobby of blood.
"Alright, what are you going to do, Cece?" I instantly felt eyes on me. I didn't get time to answer as I.... saw something more like..... someone?
She was walking towards me with sadness in her eyes?
"I'm sorry.... sweetheart. If only I never had that baby, we would still be together... I need to get rid of her.... maybe adoption, human adoption?" I see a baby who looks like...... me!?
I fainted. Not knowing who she was but something about her felt..... wrong.
I woke up to the sound of arguing downstairs. Before I had the strength to speak, I bolted. Abby was about to harm the ginger-haired dude.
I yelled at the top of my lungs, "STOP, ENOUGH!"
I knew that it wasn't enough to stop her. I did a backflip, landed between them and kicked her staff far away from her.
She stuttered, "Y-your okay. I was so worri-"
"I'm not okay. Something isn't right but, that doesn't mean your going to kill someone who hasn't done anything!" I screamed.
I was upset at the fact that I fainted and that she was going to get her hands bloody.
I sighed, "Now, I was going to say that you can stay if you want; under two conditions."
The whiskey eyed guy replied, "That are...?"
"Number one is that you aren't going use your powers UNLESS there's an enemy or an emergency. Number two is to help with the chores because the house is kinda big."
I waited until they came up with an answer. In the mean time, I wanted to know what the hell happened.
"Well... your eyes were..... it had one cross and a demons sign. You were whispering 'Why? Why? Why am I a...' and then you fainted so I assumed that it was because of them.... I'm sorry. You and Ganeet are the only people that don't care about me being a witch. If I lost one of you....." her voice faltered.
She stared down at the floor; clearly ashamed of what she had done.
I smiled, "It's alright, I understand. Just, think next time."
The ginger haired dude grinned, "We discussed it and we are thankful that you gave us this offer. We would happily accept it. By the way, I'm Damien, the whiskey eyed one is James, the green eyed one is Sam and the one with black curly hair is Matthew."
My eyes twinkled. I finally knew all of their names.
