Chapter Four: What We Know So Far

We were devouring the food I cooked. I was a very good chef~ (LIES I CANNOT COOK FOR SHIT ~ Author chan) "..." I was.... quiet. Still thinking about that.... daydream. Was it real? Who was that person? Ugh. Why can't I remember?!?

I kept a straight face, thinking.

"Umm isn't it weird that.... I can't read your thoughts?" Damien said, breaking me from my thoughts.

I raised a brow, "What?"

He couldn't read my thoughts?

"Yeah, I can read Ganeet's and Abby's but nothing from you." Now I felt like I was on display. Great.... there's even more stuff that's wrong with me.

"Okay.... anyways, I wanted to know what happened to you. Why did you faint?" Abby's eyes flickered with worry.

"Umm, I don't exactly know what happened...?

I remember seeing a figure that looked like a girl- AHHH.

I wasn't able to finish my thoughts since I suddenly felt pain from trying to recall of what had happened.

"CECE!" Abby and Ganeet were beyond terrified.

"....."

Instantaneously, it stopped. I was surprised at the sudden freedom from the pain throughout my body. Everyone was staring at me; asking if I'm alright. I just stood there, wondering what was happening to me. I looked back up at them; they gasped.

"Is something.... wrong?" I glanced at them; confused as hell. Matthew? I think it was him. He handed me a mirror. My eyes widened at the sight.

There were two symbols on me. One on my left eye and one on my arm. They were glowing.

I screamed, "What is on my.... BODY?!"

I started hyperventilating. I got knocked out, not remembering how it happened.

Abby's POV

I knocked her out. I was worried about her but, at least it was the weekend tomorrow. She could sleep in.

"Now, Ganeet. Take her to the master bedroom and keep watch in case something happens." I said looking at Cece unconscious.

"Alright you try and figur-"

"I kinda already know what's happening to her. I will tell once you're done watching her."

Everyone stared at me wide-eyed but, remained silent.

"Good. Now that everyone's here, I will tell you what I know so far. Cece. Is. Like. An. Angel."

It was silent so, I continued to talk.

"You are probably wondering about how I know this. Since I am a witch, I was granted knowledge to know these things.... BUT, what doesn't make sense to me is that she isn't an ordinary angel. There is something else within her power and it might be good or..."

I trailed off knowing that they knew what I was going to say. They stood silent; waiting for a response.

"Anyways, we will try to help in anyway possible." Erik said looking into my eyes.

Wait.... is he checking me out??? Ummmm. I looked back with a blank stare. In my head, I was freaking out. Damien chuckled at my thoughts. I glared at him. I couldn't hide the blush across my face.

"Oh, and she doesn't remember her past—at all so yeah. Wait." I paused, glancing at them.

"What happened to you guys before we helped you?" I questioned, waiting for an answer.

"Well...." Damien said as he gestured at them.

"We were attacked by a group of devils... Miss." James said politely while looking into my eyes. He was hesitant to answer.

"Oh, WAIT. WHY?" I said with a hint of confusion in my voice.

"We.... were in their territory Miss....?"

I forgot that they never knew our names.

"Oh, I'm Abby and the girl being dragged is Cece. The last girl is Ganeet."

I smiled genuinely knowing now that they had no intention of harming us.

"This was going to be a tough ride" I thought.

The rest of the night went smoothly; nothing else happened to Cece. I swear I saw Ganeet not even looking at James whenever he spoke but, maybe it was my imagination. I was worried about tomorrow. For now, I should focus on the part of magic I don't know about.
