It was a beautiful, calm morning...

But Y/n had work.

Y/n had finally gotten her first job... She got it yesterday, when Y/n told Amber that she needed a job Amber said she could work at her workplace. And Amber just so happened to work at a child daycare.

Y/n got up and yawned whilst stretching. Y/n looked to her alarm clock, it reading, '6:30am, March 3rd - Monday' in harsh red lights.

Y/n dressed in a f/c cropped hoodie top, black ripped skinny jeans, a black beanie, and an b/g (birth/gem) charm necklace.

Y/n yawned again, making her way to the beautiful kitchen. Other than her bedroom, the kitchen was her favourite room in the house. (Mood -,,,-)

Y/n cooked up some pancakes, with bacon. (If you don't eat meat, you do now.) "MYKIE!! Wakey wakey, pancakes and bakey!!!" Y/n called to her younger sister.

Mykie came running down the stairs a minute later in a blue Stitch night gown on, white bunny slippers on her feet, and James, her stuffed rabbit, tightly held in her arms.

Y/n smiled, her mother had given that gown to herself and then gave it to Mykie on her fifth birthday.

Mykie hadn't grown much since she turned four and Y/n suspected she had a growth deficiency of some kind.

Mykie jumped onto the bar stool and impatiently smacked the counter top twice. "Food!" Mykie demanded cutely.

Y/n laughed. "Here you are, your highness~" Y/n cooed in a fake British accent and placed the plate of food that belonged to her in front of Mykie before bowing. "Thank you, peasant!" She chanted as she played along.

Y/n sat in her seat and watched Mykie quickly scarf down her breakfast as Y/n ate hers at a normal pace.

"You have to go to school today, Mykie." Y/n said and Mykie half chocked on her food. "Nooo!" She cried.

"Yeah, your not being homeschooled like last year." Y/n said to her little sister. Mykie pouted.

"I don't wanna go! Can I just go with you?" Mykie asked frantically. Y/n shook her head.

"Nope, you have to get dressed and I'll drop you off at your school." Y/n answered. Sad to say, Mykie pouted through most of the morning.

I drove to the morning drop-off at her school, it was 9:15am and people were just dropping off their kids, friends of said kids, and siblings.

Mykie unbuckled her seat belt and reached her upper half over the the centerconsole (the compartment thing between the two front seats) and wrapped her small arms around myself.

"Bye sissy!!" Mykie cheered before opening the back left door that faced the school. "Bye Mykie! I'll pick you up at dismissal!" You called to her.

She nodded, "Okay sissy! BYEEE!" She said as she waved goodbye. You waved and sent her a warm smile before driving off.

'To work, huh... first job ever!' I though to myself. I hummed happily as the song Best Day Of My Life by American Authors came on the radio.

Today is a pretty okay day, nothing has gone wrong, but nothing has gone anywhere beyond normal, which made me happy.

After a short 10 minutes of driving, I arrived at the daycare. Arins Local Children's Daycare the sign said. I smiled, it was in friendly bubbly letters.
