I knew it was September. Just the end of Summer, it's turning Autumn and the air is just turning slightly crispy.
I liked the air. Being up north, it was turning Autumn a lot sooner than it would have down south in Georgia, where I and Mykie used to live.
'Maybe a walk...' I thought. 'Yeah, sounds perfect.'
Right across the street, stood a park. I smiled. Nice.
I looked both ways before crossing the street, then jogged across the street. I regretted not bringing a jacket, but it woulda messed up my outfit.
The woods were calm, a small children's playground was placed to the left of the main walkway. To the right was a picnic area. A few families were playing on the playground, they looked super happy.
I walked down the path, towards the deeper part of the woods. I was looking for a calm clearing, a spot to sit.
The trees were pretty; red, yellow, and orange leaves littered the ground and blew nicely from the branches above that hung over the path I walked.
I slowed down slightly, I wanted to enjoy my time in the woods slightly.
Only about 5 minutes into the woods, the trees got thick in a little spot on the left, and if I looked slightly, I could see a clearing.
The clearing was small, but I saw a stump in the middle of the clearing. I pushed the branches in my way to the sides and stepped into the clearing.
I walked slowly, taking my time with how long it took me to get to the stump in the middle. As I sat down, I sighed.
The woods are extremely calming to me, they always have been.
Back when we lived in Georgia; we lived in the middle of Atlanta. It was loud out in the streets, but up in our three-bedroom apartment it was rather quiet. Most of the time our, mine and Mykies, mom was never home. Our mom was always on business trips and out dating men. I've had it up to my throat with her. I had graduated three months ago, I just turned 19 not too long ago.
I could always leave, I'm old enough. But I can't leave Mykie. Mykie was so precious to me.
I could never tell her she was my daughter. I had her when I was 14.
I... okay, I didn't mean to have her, but she is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
My mom knows. I told her when I was 5 months pregnant and I couldn't hide my growing stomach anymore. I know who her father is, but I'm never talking to him ever again.
His name was Jacob Mal, he was a tall lad with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was a fuck boy, a player, I should have known so much better.
him and I had only dated 3 months when I found out I was 2 weeks pregnant. I was horrified and scared. I never told him, he doesn't know.
I had dropped out that year and when Mykie was 3 months old I went back into schooling. I graduated shortly after I turned 19; a year behind schedule.
being pregnant with Mykie didn't mess up my future, I didn't have much of one anyway. I was going to graduate, live with mom until I saved up enough money, then change my name and move to New York City. I was of course going to bring Mykie but I wanted to forget my past.
The life I have lived has no interesting pin-points, other than my birth. Nothing I have done is exactly noteable or very important.
I snapped back to reality when I heard a loud snap! from behind me. I spun around to find the source of the sound with my eyes as large as dinner plates.
At the tree line stood a boy in his late teens and early twenties. he's wearing a hoodie; the torso of it is tan and the sleeves are stripped with the same tan and 2 different shades of brown, but the hood is navy blue. He had the hood pulled over his head, blue jeans, and black high-top converse.
I watched as he paused mid-step and turned his head slowly towards me.
Near behind him are two other men, one dressed in a yellow windbreaker with black jeans and a black mask, the masks' eyes are blacked out along with the lips and there are small eyebrows on the mask. The second one had an orange hoodie with the hood pulled over his head, black jeans, and a full ski mask, but the mask covered his whole face. The mask has a red frown and eyes sewed onto it.
The two that were actually in the woods had guns in their hands, but the teenager/young adult had two hatchets hanging from a utility belt that was on his waist. The one to his left side had a red handle with shiny new blade, and the one to his right side had an old wooden handle and a rusty old blade.
What happened to push me into a panic attack was the fact that the teens hatchets are covered in blood and all three of them are covered in blood.
"See, Tobias, you alarmed the girl!" Shouted the male in the windbreaker. "S-Shut up-p, Masky-y!" The ticking teen hissed.
I slowly stood up as I watched the two males argue and fight as the third male watched me closely. I guess he was studying me.
He glanced to the two males and motioned you to leave, going unnoticed by the two arguing. He was sparing me.
I nodded quickly and I ran away. I ran on the toes of my feet as to almost silence my footsteps as I ran away.
I quickly made it safely to the daycare parking lot and jumped into my car and locked it behind me. I looked to the park and saw the three men standing there, watching me closely as I sat in my car.
I made eye contact with the one on the orange hoodie and mouthed, 'Thank you' to him. He nodded and pulled a thumbs up.
I quickly turned on the car and drove the fuck away. I looked to the time as I buckled my seat belt.
"Time to go pick up Mykie!" I cheered to myself with a nervous giggle.
I started driving to Mykie's school, but I just could shake the image of the teenage male winking at me from behind his orange steampunk goggles. I also couldn't shake the feeling being watched.
I quickly looked out the window to the woods and saw a quick flash of yellow, orange, and navy blue.

I have been so busy but so bored at the same time and it's awful. I hope you have enjoyed this part and the fact I have changed this from a rewrite to a new book. My laptop glitched and it didn't post the last half of this part :p
Peace Out,
