The Assassin's Bride

"You and Shikamaru? How was the date?" Naruto and Hinata were cleaning up the store, to open. Naruto smiled and looked up.

"It's was good, I miss him. It's been a week since our last date, I can't believe I've been dating an assassin for two months." Naruto Said as he began setting up the bagels and pastries.

"Ah you're in love, it's cute." Naruto blushed and chuckled.

"I'm not yet, but I want to be. Is that bad?" Hinata chuckled as she started brewing the coffee. The door swung opened and Naruto turned around.

"Welcome to Edi.. Shikamaru." Shikamaru walked in with a cigarette hanging out his mouth and a small smile.

"I missed you blue eyes, ah work is unbearable." Naruto smiled and placed a coffee and bagel in front of him.

"Everything is unbearable to you Shikamaru, drink and eat. I'm pretty sure you rushed over here after your mission." Naruto said softly and Shikamaru chuckled.

"Ah, how'd you know?" Naruto chuckled and Kissed Shikamaru's cheek.

"You clothes are tattered, but you only wear new clothes when we go on a dates." Naruto hummed as he walked around the counter.

"So observant Naruto, how about you and Shikamaru go on a date and I'll call Kiba in?" Shikamaru placed his head on the table.

"I'm so tired, I don't think I can move." Naruto chuckled.

"He'll come to my house then, Hinata if you need help before Kiba gets here call me." Shikamaru placed a $50 on the table and Naruto sighed.

"Shikamaru stop giving me money, I'm your boyfriend aren't I? I can give you free food." Shikamaru smiled and stood up.

"I have to support local business, even if that business is my boyfriends business." Naruto rolled his eyes and looked to Hinata.

"Call me okay?" Hinata smiled and tilted her head.

"Absolutely Naruto, have fun." Naruto nodded.

Naruto and Shikamaru ended up at Naruto's home. Shikamaru just fell against the couch and Naruto chuckled.

"You should shower, I don't want my couch smelling like your assassinations." Shikamaru laughed and opened his eyes.

"Troublesome blonde let me sleep." Naruto pulled the man to the shower and chuckled when he closed the door.

"Take a shower, lazy bum." I'll grab you some clothes, I better hear that water running." Shikamaru smiled on the other side of the door.

"Who knew you were so demanding." Naruto laughed and walked away.

Shikamaru looked at the shower and quickly figured it out. He jumped in and washed his hair, and body loving the way the water cascaded over his body. He opened his eyes when he heard Naruto's voice.

"Clothes on the toilet, I don't want to smell a hint of blood." Shikamaru clicked his teeth.

"Understood mother." Naruto laughed.

"Wouldn't I make a wonderful mother however?" Naruto Said with baited breath but Shikamaru smiled.

"You'd make an excellent mother." Naruto closed the door smile on his face and Shikamaru finished washing.

Shikamaru turned off the water and stood there, he sighed and stepped out of the shower. He sat on the toilet and sighed once again. He had another mission, two weeks at most, Orochimaru evaded the law and is after his boss Minato.
