When faced with a potentially life-changing option, consideration towards the surrounding factors are truly the most important. Arent they?
Ultimately, with whatever willpower you could muster when faced with her, you decided against saying much of anything. Instead, you had decided to leave it be as just a fond memory of your first crush. You decided that itd be for the best that whatever you felt for her would be nothing more than a childhood memory.
Though, this didnt stop any further close-calls in the duration of time Mina began to become a prominent figure in your life again. Most notably, the night of a camping trip you and a few friends had organized to end high-school right as Chaeyoung, your friend, said.
For the most part, things were just fine with her. You hadnt had any life-secret revelation conversations with her so far, it was just a bunch of teenagers having fun on the night of their graduation.
However, this all changed once you sat down in front of the bonfire along with everyone else who had come on this trip. Alright, time for everybodys favorite part of the trip! Jeongyeon, the schools class clown, eclaimed as she clapped her hands together.
Everyone groaned in response, knowing full-well that Jeongyeon would say something questionable enough to ruin everybodys lives. Despite Jihyos fervent protesting, Jeongyeon had decided to continue on anyway.
Now, lets play a game of to be honest. I know, Im a genius. Once you heard the games name, you could only pray that Jeongyeon wouldnt meddle in your love life. And she didnt, but somebody else did.
Mina, your turn to ask. Mina seems to contemplate on a question for a bit, before deciding to speak up. Who do you all have crushes on? You share a nervous glance with Dahyun as you fiddle with your own fingers. One by one, the girls around you answered earnestly with some very obvious answers.
Though, there was one answer that surprised you. It was Nayeons answer. Honestly, I have a crush on myself. Everyone collectively groaned at her answer as she began to cackle at her own joke. No, but I do have a crush on you, Jeongyeon. Jeongyeon seemed taken aback as she realized what Nayeon had said.
Silence had fallen over the whole group, before Sana erupted into giggles and began to cheer for the two. 2yeon! Soon enough, almost everyone was clapping along with the exception of a few people who seemed utterly disgusted at the events.
I, I like you too. Jeongyeon, who was up next and next to you, admitted truthfully, causing the ruckus to escalate further. Which was then followed by a few loving stares shared between the pair. If you came out too, would Mina react the same way? To say you were jealous would be an understatement.
Unfortunately for you, you were next and the entire 2yeon getting together event couldnt save you. So, who do you have a crush on? Nayeon had poked you as all the attention turned to you. Lord, you werent sure if you were brave enough to come out like Nayeon just did. So you didnt.
Im not into anyone in particular. The 2yeon loving crowd had now become a booing crowd. Not even one? So are you like aromantic? Chaeyoung inquired, her head tilting slightly. You shake your head, which then provokes Jeongyeon to heckle you.
Ooh, then who is it? In that moment, you and Mina met eyes which quickly prompted you to break eye contact. Im not into anyone right now. The mood quickly drops at your answer and Mina lifts her gaze off of you. Jeongyeon nods in response and moves on to someone else. That night, youre kept up by the thought of what couldve been.
You knew deep within yourself, that that would be the last time you had ever come close to confession. But that was all it was, an unexplored option. Something youll likely ponder about in the years to come. But you decide that, you shouldnt need anyone else to feel happy.
