The High Priest and the Headmaster, Father Blackwood had called for an assembly later that day. I walked to Assembly with Prudence, but the whole time all I could think about was when I would get to see Nick again. He was all I could think about and I felt guilty about it because it hadn't been long since Harvey and I had broken up.

"Welcome, Children of the night to another unholy day, Praise Satan!" Father Blackwood stood at the front of the hall, his voice bellowed.

"Praise Satan!" we all repeated back it was basic protocol of our Coven.

I could tell that he was about to start preaching, he was going to give us a motivational speech.

"The Dark Lord wants our devotion, our love because he is the only one we will ever need. No one will love us like he does, no one understands our souls like he does. He welcomes the darkness in each and every one of us. No sins need repenting because all sins are accepted. We do not need to pray for forgiveness to be accepted like the False God has his followers believe. The Dark Lord accepts us unconditionally. The Dark Lord  is the truth, the darkness and the way. Follow him and you shall never be lost children!".

"Yes praise the Dark Lord!" Prudence whispered next to me with her eyes closed revealing her smoky eyeshadow. Prudence was heavily devoted to Satan so much so that sometimes when she spoke of him she became some what emotional, well as emotional as Prudence would get.

"I mention the topic of love because some of us within this community believe that we can love another the same way that we love our Dark Lord. Love interferes with our soul's journey. We are all immortal beings because we are the chosen ones. The Dark Lord bestowed upon us this gift because he deemed us worthy of this mission. Lay with another yes, but to love another will weaken your soul and your power. Love above the Dark Lord and you will meet your fate!" Father Blackwood paced backwards and forwards as he spoke, getting lost in his passionate devotion to our Lord.

It feels impossible for me not to love another, it is a basic human instinct, but I keep forgetting that I'm not human anymore.
