"Oh fuck, what are you doing to me Sabrina Spellman?" Nick smiled at me.
"That's funny because I was just thinking the same thing about you". I smiled back, feeling a little breathless from all the kissing.
"See? even our minds are connected". Nick replied, he then kissed my forehead in acknowledgment. Suddenly there was a knock at the door and we both froze.
"Sabrina it's Prudence". I rolled my eyes at Nick.
"Hey Prudence, kind of busy right now can you come back later?" I asked from behind the door while Nick began kissing my neck.
"Sabrina, I don't know where you think you are, but this isn't a luxury hotel sweetie and I'm not the maid so it's now or never".
"Sorry" I mouthed to Nick as he put me down quietly before vanishing into thin air, I almost forgot he could do that. I already felt cold without his touch, I smoothed my clothes and hair down before opening the door.
"Oh there you are! Thank you for gracing me with your presence". Prudence exclaimed sarcastically before she strutted into my room like she owned it.
"Hope I wasn't interrupting you summoning demons" Prudence gestured to the circle of candles with The Legends of the Fifth Dimension in the centre. I panicked, I completely forgot about the circle, I hoped she didn't see the title of the book.
"No I was just practicing some spells". I said in defence crossing my arms over my chest.
"Oh relax you are too goody goody to even think about summoning demons let alone actually summoning them!" Prudence rolled her eyes smirking.
"I stopped by to invite you to lunch tomorrow". Prudence announced walking around my room like it was a runway as she examined everything.
"Um Lunch?". I asked slightly taken aback,
"Yes it's an activity where one sits down at a table to consume food". Prudence sighs again in a sarcastic tone.
"Sorry...I just didn't think you liked me enough to want to go to lunch with me" I replied honestly.
"It's just Lunch Sabrina, I'm not asking you for your hand in marriage". Prudence said admiring herself in the mirror.
I was sceptical, but I decided to accept her invitation. Prudence isn't the type of person to willingly spend time with you unless she has an ulterior motive and I wondered what her ulterior motive with me was.
Once I agreed to meet Prudence she left just as quick as she had entered.
"NIck, you can make yourself visible now". I called out to him and he reappeared in front of me.
"Wow you have to teach me the cloaking spell". I smiled admiring his ability to perform it and how effortlessly he made it look.
"Yes, you still have much to learn Sabrina and I'm not just talking about magic". Nick winked as he knelt down by the circle of candles to blow all the candles out. I could feel my cheeks burning knowing exactly what he was referring to.
I sat down on my bed and a sudden realization hit me. I thought I would spend my whole life with Harvey. I had my mortal life mapped out, I would lose my virginity to Harvey, we would get married, have a life together and we would never be apart. Now my mortal side along with my mortal life has gone and I realised for the first time that in this new immortal life I don't have a plan. I know my craft and I know Satan, but I don't know much else. I don't know who I am supposed to be or what I am supposed to do in this very new world that is now my home.
I looked over at Nick who was still knelt down blowing out each candle. He looked so beautiful with his raven black hair falling in his eyes, his tanned skin glowed like the light of the moon. I wondered then if he knew of love, true love. I remember once he told me that he didn't know how to love another, the only love he knew was that of Satan's. Satan is selfish in that he only wants his children to love him and no other soul. That is why Nick has only ever had sexual relations with girls because desire is easier than love. He knows of pleasure and I don't, I know of love and he doesn't. I was worried about what Prudence's motives were for meeting me for lunch, but what are Nick's motives for me?. Am I the new girl that he gets to lay with at night now?. The more time I spend around Nick the more I become attached to him. He makes me feel things even greater than magic that if he just wanted a casual encounter with me it would break me. For the first time in a while I now felt scared.
