I made my way to the garage where several very nice cars were waiting.  I was greeted by one of the butlers and drivers. “Miss Eliza, might I drive you somewhere?” The driver asked. “No, not today. The master is terribly busy and I have a couple errands that I had to run both in and out of town, Christian is just too busy for me. May I borrow the benz?” I asked smiling reassuringly at the butler. “Well, Christian has asked you not drive the benz.  He however did state that you are welcomed to take the limo or the corvette.” The butler interjected smiling to her. “Alright. I’ll take the corvette.” I said reaching for the keys that the butler held. “The master also asks that you be careful and wary.” The butler said giving her a knowing look. “Tell the master not to worry.” She said and took the keys.  Luckily for her the car was automatic and not a stick shift.  Christian had been kind enough to help her get her license and to teach her to drive in the few months after she had gotten here. She however didn’t realize that the reason that Christian had wanted her to take either the limo or the corvette was because they both were fitted with tracking devices.

The drive to her home was long but was relaxing.  She didn’t know how people could think that driving was annoying and tedious. She was learning to like it and she found that it was just down right fun especially in the car she was driving.  Flying around one of the corners I saw the cop and then the MPH sign.  I was easily going 15 miles over the speed limit and wasn’t the least bit surprised when the officer pulled me over. I had heard stories about this…small town cops pulling people over for even going 5 miles over the limit. I rolled down my window as he approached the car and kept my hands on the steering wheel. “Hello officer.” I said giving a half smile. “Darlin’ do you know how fast you were going?” He asked, my reflection stared back at me in his dark aviator sunglasses. “I don’t.” I lied biting my bottom lip and looking as innocent as possible.  Luckily I had been wearing my seat belt I didn’t want to get a ticket for not wearing my seat belt. I carefully looked over the man, my senses on high alert, I didn’t want to look or act strange. “Well, I have you going 17 over the speed limit.” He said leaning down on the door of the car. “Officer, I honestly haven’t driven this road and although that hardly excuses my actions I feel you should know. I do, however, accept full responsibility for my actions.” I said watching him as he watched me. “Alright sugar. I’m going to give you a warning. Be more mindful next time.” He said nodding and sending me on my way.I wasn’t going to lie, being pulled over by the police was nerve wracking and even more so when they just stare and you and don’t say anything. Breathing out a sigh of relief I drove down the road at a slower pace.

When I finally reached my destination it was four in the afternoon and the sun was starting to set. I noticed my mother and father sitting on the porch, their eyes bugging out as I stepped out of the car I was driving.  I pulled the sun glasses off of my face (which I had found stored in the middle console), and set them on the dash of the car. I brushed my longer hair that fell in soft waves, from letting it air dry, over my shoulder and looked at my parents. I crossed my arms and placed them on the top of the car. I watched my parents as they watched me. This meeting was going to be awkward to say the least. We stayed as we were me behind my car as if it would protect me from the stares my parents were giving me. It was at the point of utmost awkwardness that my dad made the notion with his head for me to come inside. My mother was the first in the house and then my father.  I was nervous about being back in the old pack house.  I hadn’t been in here since I was a young lady in the making and it was making me more and more nervous that Christian wasn’t with me.  I truly wish I had him here so that I wouldn’t feel so nervous and alone.

Stepping inside I noticed several pack members inside enjoying video games, eating food, having conversation and the like in the living room. When I stepped into the house they all looked at me and eyed me with suspicion. I only gave them the slightest of glances until one of the larger of the pack members confronted me.  “What are you doing here?” Ian growled puffing out his large chest trying to intimidate me. When we were younger Ian and I had been quite the pair. Our parents had high hopes for us. Ian was two years older than me and couldn’t wait for me to change once he had become of age. When my birthday came and went without the expected change I felt my hopes fall. Not only could I not make the change despite my efforts, but to top off the worst birthday EVER, Ian dumped me. Don’t get me wrong Ian was very handsome, but he paled in comparison to Christian. “Run along Ian.” I said moving to side step him, but he stepped in my path again. I sighed and looked up at him my eyes burning into his. “Move I have a meeting with the Alphas.” I said gently pushing him aside. “Don’t ever touch me again you piece of filth.” He said straightening his shirt and curling his lip in disgust. “Then don’t ever get in my way again.” I hissed back at him, proceeding down the hall and towards the large old fashioned country type kitchen where I could see my mother sitting at the table.
