Ian's POV

In the morning after Adam had told us his backstory, we continued to travel until we reached the highway that leaves LA.

"Follow me," said Taylor. We galloped off the road and rode through the grass, only stopping to eat.

Eventually, night fell. We all stopped, let the horses graze and made a fire. Adam was on watch. I laid out my sleeping bag and soon fell asleep.

I was jostled awake by something grabbing me. I didn't have time to grab my sword, so I was defenceless. I looked at who grabbed me and saw that I was staring into the eyes of a skeleton, who was riding a massive spider.

Spider Jockeys. The worst.

Adam was being held with his mouth covered, probably so he couldn't alert us of an attack.

"Get your boney hands off of me!" I heard Mitch say as he kicked the skeleton in the ribs. It shrieked and whacked him over the head, causing him to go unconcious.

"You are getting in the masters way..." hissed a spider. "We are getting you out of the way."

"Let us go!" Austin yelled, summoning a platinum sword to his hand. He swiftly chopped the head off the skeleton that held him and hopped to the ground.

"Platinum Warrior!" growled a spider. It lunged at him and bit his leg, causing him to go limp and fall to the ground.

"What did you do?!" yelled Hunter.

"Only poisoned him!" laughed the spider. He grabbed Austin and draped him over his back.

"Let's go," said the skeleton holding me. He hit me over the head and everything went black.

Lila's POV

I woke with a throbbing headache. I sat up and found that I was in a cage in a mysterious room.

"The little one has awoken! How adorable," cackled a skeleton, looking at me.

"I am not little! I'm 12 years old!" I said angrily.

He sneered and walked out of the room.

I groaned and sat back against the bars. I looked around.

We were dangling from the roof, just low enough that the skeletons could reach us in a circular formation. Austin and Khali were on either side of me.

Austin was coughing and moaning, probably from the poison. I winced. The last thing I wanted was to watch another person I cared about die.

Thinking about my mom made my chest and throat tighten. I shook my red hair out of my face and told myself not to cry. Now was the worst time to cry.

"Lila!" I heard someone whisper/yell. I looked around and saw Ty looking at me.

"Hey Ty," I replied. He waved and paced around his cell.

"Is Austin okay?" Ty asked, gesturing to Austin, who's breathing was short and labored.

"I don't know. He's still poisoned," I said, my voice cracking a little bit. His face fell.

"We can't let him die..."

I nodded. That was obvious.

"See if you can swing your cage over to his and wake him up," Ty suggested. I nodded and attempted to swing my cage, but only swayed a bit.

"I can't, it's too heavy," I said, my voice breaking. The tears started welling in my eyes and I wiped them away. "What are we going to do?"

Ty sighed angrily and kicked the bars of his cage.

"Damn it."

I looked around. More and more people were starting to wake up, starting with Ryan.

"Where are we?" he asked.

"I don't know," I said. "But Austin's not doing so well."

Ryan looked over and saw what I was talking about.

"Ty, can't you break the bars as an ender dragon?" Ryan asked. I looked over at Ty hopefully, but he shook his head.

"I already tried that, but the cages are made of iron and obsidian smelted together. I can't break it."

I sighed. This was going no where.

"My head hurts," I heard Ann mumble.

"Mine too," Libby said.

"Help!" Jerome yelled, banging the bars with his fists.

"Jerome, yelling won't help!" Mitch said.

"I'm claustrophobic!" Rue moaned.

"Can everyone shut up!" Bashur yelled. We all went silent and stared at Bashur, who we had never heard yell.

"Guys, if we don't find a way out of here, Austin is going to die. Now please shut up so we can make a plan together!"

Bashur must have seen Austin and alerted everyone.

Suddenly, a bunch of skeletons and Spider Jockeys came into the room. They were all armed with some sort of weapon except for the spiders, who were pretty much evil horses.

"There's an army approaching. Stop them at all costs," ordered the captain of the group. "You two, make sure the cage locks are secure before following us." The captain and the others left while two skeletons made sure our locks here secure. When they were done, they left the room as well.

"Army? What army could possibly know we're here?" Hunter wondered out loud.

We sat in silence as we listened to the sound of a horn blowing and mobs dying. Horses were galloping and people were shouting orders.

Everything went quiet. We looked around at each other, not knowing what to say.

Then, the door opened. A man wearing full diamond armour and wielding a diamond sword walked in, followed by some other people. On his shoulder was a badge that showed two diamond swords crossing each other.

"Free them," said the leader, who's voice was distinctly British.

I looked around at everyone. They all looked confused except for Thalia, who looked excited beyond belief.

"Dad!" Thalia exclaimed. The leader grinned and took of his helmet, revealing messy brown hair and aviator goggles on his head.

"Hello! How did you get yourself into such a mess?"

"Dad!?" Adam exclaimed.

Thalia grinned.

"Everyone, let me introduce you to my dad, more commonly known as DanTDM."
