Jesses POV
Nevaeh and I trudge off the plane into London's central airport. 6 hours of plane and 10 hours of driving to New York City is just too much for us. We gather our bags and hail a cab. We search the map for our hotel and direct the driver. When we arrived the hotel towered over us. We ran in like children at a circus. Pointing and gasping like we did on the plane as it descended.
"Just look at this." Nevaeh repeated. I had already traveled here once as a young teenager. Not until now did I realize that I hadn't appreciate it's true beauty enough. Adolescent stuff, I think to myself. I am only 19. Nevaeh is 20. We came here and I can't wait to show her around. We are going to be looking for a small apartment soon just outside the city. We went into the elevator and I could see Nevaehs head spinning with fascination.
We opened our door and our room was huge. Living room connected to a beautiful kitchen, not that I could cook but Nev could. She marveled at the huge bathroom.
"JESS! JESSE! PERFECT SEX SHOWER!!" She called. It's not what you think... It might be exactly what you think actually. We are virgins I swear! But what a shower...
"Wow. I can't believe we are here!" She tossed herself on one of the beds in one of the rooms.
I grabbed my stuff and tossed myself on the opposite bed in the next room over. I looked at the clock. 12:03.
"Go to bed!" I yell thought the wall.
"Never!" She yelled back. I shut my eyes to hear her soft snore only ten minutes later. I walk over and unclipped her bra and tossed in on the floor. I rolled her under the covers and tucked her in. I leaned down and gently kissed her forehead.
"Night Nevy." I whispered.
"Night mama." She mumbled. People mistake us for a gay couple, which is understandable, but we aren't. I take care of her, and she does the same for me. She might be older, but she is certainly the kid in the family.
I walked into my room and crawled into bed. Lately I had been feeling alone. An empty bed and a lot of room. Of course I had Nevaeh, but I need someone to love. Sounds stupid and cheesy I know, but I could just feel my heart aching for someone. I felt something else too, I felt him getting closer to me. He was coming. And it was going to be great.
