Jesses POV
I was abruptly awaken by Nev throwing herself on top of me.
"WAKE UPPPPPPP!" she screamed/sang in my ear. I grumbled. The lonely had slipped away and was filled with the smell of waffles and bacon.
"C'mon get up it's already past noon!!" She screeched again before barreling out of the room and back to the kitchen. I rolled over and looked at my alarm clock. 1:18.
"Nevy! Why didn't you wake me up earlier!?"
"Because tonight we are going out!" Her face glowed. I had rolled out of bed and onto the floor. I slumped into the stool next to the breakfast bar and started eating my bacon.
"And where exactly are we going?" I asked, I was some what concerned seeing as we don't know know what the hell we are doing.
"Out! Just trust me for once in your life Jesse." She sighed.
"I do!" I said. And I honestly did, but Nev does has her moments.
"Fine." She pouted. "If you must know we are going to a cute little pub around the corner. I wanted to see if we could find some cute British boys." She danced around the kitchen. My heart skipped a beat. I could feel it. Tonight was the night!
"Alright alright. But first a little sight seeing?" I asked her, biting into my waffles.
"Of course!" She raised her coffee cup which was filled with tea and I raised my tea cup. She makes a little speech.
"To London! You don't even know what's about to hit ya!"
Cheers.
After a day of traveling around being total tourists, we went back to the hotel to start getting ready for our boy hunt. While Nevy took the sexy approach with the cute top and the tight jeans, I took the comfy ripped jeans grey sweatshirt with my hair on top of my head look. She rolled her eyes and gave me a short lecture before we left. I slide on my vans and so did she. Something we could both agree on.
We walked into a pub that was sprung to life with loads of people. Sandy's it was called. It was nearly impossible to find a seat, but with Nevs impeccable flirting skills, we were seated within 3 minutes.
Nevy isn't a heavy drinker, but I can be. Not usually in front of her, unless I whip out the ole' bottle of wine when I'm sad. We sit at the bar and I pull up my legs and cross them, bringing one knee up so it's eye level. Nevaeh scowls at me until a young man with dark curly hair and blue eyes walks up next to her. I listen in on there conversation.
"Hello." They greet each other. The man sticks out his hand.
"Kyle." His accent rings.
"Nevaeh." I can almost hear her smile. They continue there conversation and I continue listening in. I did this for a while, even when man after drunk man tried to talk to me I hushed them and sent them away. He's an engineer. 21. Smart. Funny. He likes her.
"Jay, can you at least try to have fun?" Nev says through her smile. I could tell that her eyes were filled with guilt and worry.
"Yeah yeah, sure sure." I said through a smile. She continued her conversation. Another man came up to me. Tall with greasy hair and shallow eyes, he reached out and touched my cheek.
"How ya doin pumpkin." He slurred.
"Back off." I said leaning away from his hand. But he grabbed my face and pulled me in, slamming his face against mine. I squirmed, slapping his body and punching him. He released and the man behind the bar jumped across and stood in front of me.
"I think I heard her say no bud." His accent was hard and solid. I liked the sound of it.
"You don't know what the ladies want Tanner." The drunk man retorted. Tanner laughed.
"No I don't, but I know what she wants. That's to leave her the fuck alone, ya hear?" He said roughly. Nev grabbed my arm and Kyle close by.
"You okay baby?"
"Fine." I said, not wanting to miss anything.
"How about ya fuck off lad?" The drunk man slurred once more. He lunged for Tanners face but he moved out of the way, grabbing the bottle to the left of him and swinging it down in the mans head. Everyone in the room gasped and shifted except for me. I stayed completely still.
"Are you alright ma'am?" His voice softened as he turned around.
