You look up from your massive textbook to find the class prince, Luhan, staring at you. Again.
All day, you've felt his soft, gentle eyes watching you. You weren't sure if you had done something wrong, or if you just had something on your face.
You knew one thing for sure: you were definitely not his type.
Although you're both quiet, Luhan tended to be on the social side. Or, at least, people would force him to be.
You, on the other hand, would rather have your nose buried in a book.
You didn't like to involve yourself in school drama.
As for Luhan, he had always gotten caught up in all of the gossip somehow.
Luhan had girls falling head-over-heels for him. You haven't even had a boyfriend yet.
So why was this popular, handsome, and completely out of your league boy staring at you?
You can't deny liking him. In fact, you've liked him since freshman year. But you knew your place and never confessed to him.
"What is up with Lulu today?" Your one and only best friend mumbles to you, furiously scribbling on her worksheet.
"You've noticed too? It's so weird!" You whisper back, finishing the last problem on your history paper. Your teacher collects the finished work and stands at the front of the room.
"Class, please give me your attention. I am now assigning a research project for you to complete by the end of this week. Your partners will be picked fairly by choosing slips of paper out of this hat. There will be no partner exchanges."
Your teacher holds out a black hat filled with white paper to the first student on the left. Your heart starts to race. Since you sat at the back of the class, someone would probably pick your name before you could pick theirs.
"Yes! Xiumin picked my name! I'm so lucky," Your best friend squeals, running over to the smiling, round-faced boy.
You scan the room. Your breath catches in your throat. It's Luhan's turn.
His pale hand reaches inside the hat, and he pulls a name out. You try your best to see over his shoulder, and when you do, you wish you hadn't. Your name, first and last, is sprawled across the paper wedged between his thin fingers.
He turns to see you leaning over the desk, and you whip around, blushing. You'd have to be more careful in the future.
"Um, _____?"
A smooth hand rests on your bare arm. As you look up, you jump back a few feet, your face previously just inches away from Luhan's.
"Y-Yeah?" You say, cursing yourself for stuttering.
"I drew your name. I hope we will work well together!"
He sends you a heart-melting smile, sliding into the empty seat next to you. You scoot over, scared to be too close to him.
"Hey, why are you so far away?"
Luhan grabs the legs of your chair and pulls you closer. The bottoms of the chair squeak loudly, causing the entire class to stare at you two.
Your face is a shade deeper than a tomato. His cheeks redden too, and you gape in shock. Luhan, the most sought-after boy in school, is blushing because of you! You must be dreaming. It's just like the romance novel you read last week.
Nervously, you clear your throat.
"What topic are we choosing?" You ask, tugging your hair in front of your face.
"Why do you do that?" He says softly.
"Do what?"
"Cover your face. You're so cute!"
You were even redder than before.
"Thanks," you reply awkwardly, shifting in your chair.
Luhan reaches over and brushes the hair from your face, his fingers grazing over your burning cheek.
"That's better. Why don't we finish this after school? I know a really good cafe," he suggests, grinning.
"O-Okay...."
"Great! It's a date."

Had such writers block with this one.
Writing fluff is much harder than you think. Have to keep the border between fluff and romance.
But, anywho, Luhan fluff imagine requested by @graceekimmey on Instagram!
