Jacob's POV:

"It turns out that Thomas, who was once my friend, betrayed me. He recorded us throwing Sean overboard."  I say to Justin.

"That litt-." He starts, but I cut him off.

"He turned it into the police. They're going to be here very soon."

"How do you know ow all of this?"

"He said I brought Sean to him alive he would not turn it in. He gave me one day to find him and I didn't. I went out on our yacht for hours and searched."

"What are we gonna do?" Justin asks starting to get fired up.

"I don't know. Normally we could just say it's a lie, but now they have evidence."

"They're going to ask him why he waited to turn it in. We can say that he tampered with the video or something."

"Good idea!"

But it was too late.

-----------------------------------

"So you're telling me that you sent Thomas to talk to me so that I would find Sean alive and save you guys time and effort?" I ask to the  police officer.

"Isn't that against the law?" Asks Justin.

"Actually, no. We had evidence so we got a warrant. The judge and Grandma agreed so they sent him to you." The officer says.

Thomas stands in the corner of the room his arms crossed over his chest. He's looking down at his feet, not saying a word.

"We were hoping that you would say it was a joke or an accident, but you didn't deny it."

"How do you know what I said?"

"We attached a microphone and a camera to Sean's clothes. We know that you didn't deny it, not once."

"It was just a joke." Justin says.

"We know that you have violent tendencies. Thomas told us about other things you've done in the past. He gave us video evidence of that as well." The officer states.

"Thomas you recorded us without our consent?" I ask in anger.

"Since it is considered evidence in this circumstance it is not a crime." The officer says.

Thomas doesn't say a word. He doesn't look up from the floor. It's like it's come alive the way he looks at it.

"Well, we're done with the interview. If you have any more questions you can ask them of the next one." The officer says.

Two other officers come from behind and unhandcuff my brother. They take him out of the room, he doesn't fight them. People with no we have to go back to our cells.

Another officer comes in. This new officer and the one I was previously talking to unhandcuff me. This time Thomas says something.

"You'll be staying here until we find Jack's body. If he's found dead then kiss the rest of your life goodbye."

And that's when I know he was never truly on my side.
