(If you haven't already listened to that ^ You must. It's so great OHMYGOD)

It was a Saturday evening. You were sitting in your living room with nothing to do. It was cold, rainy and you were grounded from going anywhere so there was nothing to do.

You looked along the walls of your living room examining pictures because you had nothing else to do. Eventually your eyes fell upon the old piano you had in the corner of the room. You sighed deciding that there was nothing else to do.

You slowly approached the piano and took a seat on the old wooden bench. It creaked loudly making you fear that it would give out. Nonetheless you began to play with the keys.

I didn't sound very good until you remembered a song you learned a while ago. I didn't sound very good because of how long it had been since the piano had been played with, but it sounded good enough.

As soon as you got into it you began to sing the lyrics to the song quietly.

This is gospel, for the fallen ones locked away in permanent slumber
Assembling their philosophies from pieces of broken memories

This is the beat of my heart, this is the beat of my heart
This is the beat of my heart, this is the beat of my heart
The gnashing teeth and criminal tongues conspire against the odds
But they haven't seen the best of us yet

You began to get louder with the chorus approaching.

If you love me let me go
If you love me let me go
'Cause these words are knives
That often leave scars
The fear of falling apart
And truth be told I never was yours
The fear, the fear of falling apart
This is the beat of my heart, this is the beat of my heart

This is the beat of my heart, this is the beat of my heart
This is the beat of my heart

Your singing was suddenly interrupted by clapping. Surprised, you turned around to see your boyfriend Michael standing behind you.

"W-when-" your question was cut off by him. "I heard you were grounded so I came to check on you." He states. You nodded "It seems you're doing fine though. You blushed at his comment.

He chuckled, "You sounded beautiful." That made you blush even more, which caused him to smile.

He sat down next to you on the bench. He pressed a kiss to your temple before beginning to play a song of his choice. You sang along with your head on his shoulder.

Who knew being grounded could actually be a good thing?

Are we cringing yet? I know I am. This was shit and I'm sorry. The song was ok though right. Idk I'm sorry I'll do better.
