Levi's POV

1 Year Later

"I'm so nervous..." Hanji quivers to herself when it became her graduation year. If her words wasn't enough, her actions told me everything. Her breathing was shallow and even holding her hand was sweaty.

But pushing her chocolate hair out of her eyes- her contacts made her chocolate eyes glint brightly, more than ever. I pulled her close to my face, and smiled. "Just picture me in front of you- like your rehearsals. Okay? I'm in the crowd. If you want, quickly search for me and just look at me the whole time. There's nothing to be afraid... after all... you're my girlfriend... my shitty glasses."

Hearing her nickname, I managed to put a smirk on her beautiful face. "Alright then... promise me you'll be there the whole entire time?" She pleads.

Nodding, I kissed her sweet lips. "I promise. I'm not leaving you." But in a way, I was. "Just be yourself." I say before a staff member pulled Hanji away from me. My cue to head back to my seat and watch the official thing.

Sitting down, I remember how nerve-wreaking it was for me to be up there- having so many people stare at me. Hanji used to joke around, saying how it wasn't bad- but she has a taste of her own medicine. But the one thing... she was leaving for college- and we would be separated for a bit.

But keeping my promise with her, I will visit her as much as I can. Oh... how much I can't wait for her to finally live her own life...

There she was, standing and giving her speech. From afar, I could tell that she was still nervous... but I saw her looking around the crowd as the audience clapped for her arrival. A pure smile appears on her face, assuming she found her target. She cleared her throat and started to speak.

Everyone in the gym was silent as she spoke about how her high school life was affected by moving, but explained how she immediately fit in and started her high school life with new friends... her words were pure with experience, and I'm glad, that from all the girls who tossed themselves towards me... I chose the only one who impacted me the most.

After the ceremony, I waited for her. She then appears, breathing heavily and a bright smile on her face. "I did it! I did it! I survived!" She shouts as she chuckles to me. "I survived the ceremony!"

"I know you did..." I greeted her with a kiss. "Come on, let's get something to eat- but maybe you should say hi to all your friends before we leave. After all... this is the last official time that we would be here for a school-related thing."

"I'm good, Levi. Let's go... I'm starving." She says as she takes my hand and we went out to a restaurant with her family.

For Hanji's special day, her parents took her out to Hanji's favorite restaurant. Sitting at a circular table, I obviously sat next to Hanji throughout the whole thing. But I also had to sit next to her father... and even though I may have been a guy who's been causing nothing but trouble, I was...  a bit intimidated by him...

He wasn't buffy or gave death stares... an average person. Him having the same hair color as Hanji, but had dark brown eyes. Hanji's mother was a bit... more different. She had dirty blonde hair and pale blue eyes.

But the night went on, probably as normal as it can go while out with Hanji's parents. Near the end, Mackenzie, Hanji's mother, went out to the front to pay for the meal while Hanji went to the bathroom. My breath staggered as both Oscar, Hanji's father, and I sat alone in silence.

Then, it wasn't as scary as I thought he would threaten me... but it still scared the hell outta me. "If I find out that she gets pregnant and you abandon her... I will track you down." Gulping, I started to grow warm. No wonder every guy who meets their girlfriend's father are always afraid to be in the same room as them.

Nodding in agreement, Hanji comes back, smiling. "H-Hey Hanji..." I managed to stutter out of my mouth.

Of course, it made her smile and giggle. "Stuttering again, midget? I thought you outgrew that when... you know-"

"Hanji, please... stop talking..." I started to beg and plead with her as my cheeks grew warm with embarrassment. Not just her saying out loud to the restaurant to hear, but knowing her dad was right next to me- I could've gotten a punch as a welcoming statement from her father.

She chuckles, ignoring the fact that I could've gotten my ass kicked. But of course... it was Hanji. So, what could I expect from her? Nothing more than her joking and possibly me getting my ass beat. "Alrighty, midget. Anyways... I'm gonna check up on Mom."

"See ya, buttercup." Watching Hanji leave... I wanted to grab her and anchor her to me, just because I didn't want to be near Oscar. Then his voice lowered as I felt the hair stand on edge. "What did you two do?"

"I-I didn't do anything... honest." I murmured to him. Sweat started to form at my hairline and I felt it slip down.

"Levi Ackerman, if you did something-"

"Oscar, embarrassing him again?" Looking up, I see Mackenzie with Hanji behind her. "Come on... he's one of the sweetest guys I ever met- Hanji will be fine..."

Oscar, on the other hand, rolled his eyes. "He's just fooling you-"

Soon, Hanji walked past her mother and grabbed my arm. "Let's just go... Mom, Dad, I'll meet you outside!" She says as she finally dragged away from hell. Taking a breath in the cold air, she held me close and whispered. "Afraid of my dad?"

"Your dad is hella scary..." Admitting it lifted a heavy weight in my mind. "N-Not to... you know, insult him. But he is scary."

She chuckles. "Dad's not that bad... anywho... I'll see tomorrow?"

"Yeah... make sure all your things are packed, Hanji. And prepare yourself for a lot of adventure, because we're driving to the beach."

"How long does that take again?"

"At minimum, if we don't screw around, probably 2-3 days. A week at most if we decided to stop at certain places and stuff. Knowing you, we would take about a week." I say with sarcasm in my voice.

"Until tomorrow..." She says with a kiss before I started to walk down to my house. Of course, my uncle hated that I was back for awhile... but I stayed out of his business. As per usual...

What I couldn't wait was our little trip...
