I woke up to my alarm clock going off like a mother fucker. I slammed my fist down, shutting the thing off. I groaned and sat up, not entirely happy about today. Today was the first day back at school from spring break. It sucked. The only bright side about this week is my birthday was Friday. Other than that, it sucked. I got up and headed into my bathroom to shower. Then, I got out and got dressed. I sighed and teased my hair. Then, I put eyeliner on. I sighed again and turned away from my reflection. I walked into my room and grabbed my phone, I-pod and bag. Then, I walked downstairs. The smell of pancakes and bacon filled my nostrils. I set my bag down next to the stairs and bolted into the kitchen. My mom smiled at me from her spot at the stove.

"Morning, darling." She said.

"Morning, mom." I smiled back at her, sitting in my place at the counter.

She set a plate in front of me. It had two pancakes and three pieces of bacon on it. I grabbed some butter and spread it along my pancakes. I ate them in peace. My mom sat next to me and ate hers. I drank my chocolate milk and stood up. I hugged my mom goodbye and headed toward the door. I grabbed my bag and stepped outside. I pulled my keys out of my bag and unlocked my car. I got in and closed my door. I started my car and backed out of my driveway. I drove to school listening to BVB's Set the World on Fire album. When I got to school, I parked in my usual spot, away from everyone else. I got out and locked my car. I walked up to the school. As soon as I stepped into the building, everyone stared. I rolled my eyes and walked past them. I walked up to the third floor to my locker. I did my comb and opened it. I set my bag in it and grabbed my stuff. I placed my headphones in my ears and immediately Bewitched blasted through. I place my I-pod in my pocked along with my phone. After I grabbed everything I needed, I shut my locker and walked to my homeroom. The door wasn't open yet so I just set my stuff on the ground. No one would touch it so I just walked away from it. I walked down to the cafeteria and found a table to sit at. A few of the other 'EMO' kids sat with me. They talked among themselves, ignoring me. I just stared down at my hands, listening to my music, blocking out everything else. Once the bell rang, I got up and walked to homeroom. I grabbed my stuff off of the floor and walked into the class. The teacher smiled warmly at me. I returned the gesture and moved to my seat in the back of the class. Everyone glared at me as they took their seats. I took my headphones out and shut my I-pod off. Once announcements were over and the bell had rung, I walked to my next class. Everyone snickered when I walked in. Someone, please, kill me.

~After school~

I all but ran to my car after school had ended. Thank fucking god! I hate school. I would have dropped out but I didn't want to disappoint my mother. I started the car and backed out of my spot. I got in line behind all of the waiting cars. Gradually, I moved forward. Finally, I pulled out of the parking lot and drove toward home. I pulled into the driveway. I noticed a car in the driveway. I parked next to it and got out. I walked into my house and immediately walked up to my room to set my bag on my bag. My mother called me to come back downstairs. I walked down. She was waiting at the bottom. She looked wary, nervous.

"What is it?" I asked.

Then, a man with black hair and blue eyes appeared behind her. He smiled at me, which was creepy. I looked at my mom.

"Who is he?" I asked.

"I am your father." He answered before she could answer.

I looked back at her, confused. She nodded, confirming it. Anger boiled up inside me.

"You fucking asshole! You fucking left us!" I screamed, not noticing that there was also two boys standing there.

"Let me explain.." I cut him off.

"You can rot in hell before you explain anything to me!" I yelled.

The boys chuckled. I growled.

"Sweetie, please.." My mother started,

"You're siding with him?!? After all he's done, you're siding with him!!! Fuck both of you!" I screamed.

With that, I ran up to my room and slammed my door, locking it.  Not thinking clearly, I punched the wall, leaving a hole in it. I growled again. I turned my stereo on and turned it all the way up. It played Bewitched repeatedly. I plopped down on my bed and sighed dramatically. There was a knock at the door. I got up and unlocked it. I opened it and there stood one of the boys. I walked over to my stereo and lowered the volume.

"What?" I growled.

"Your mom wants to talk to you.." He said.

"Well, tell her she can fuck off!" I said.

"Come on..she just wants to talk." He said.

"Who are you to come up here and tell me this!" I demanded.

"My name's Jayy." He said.

"Well, Jayy, tell her to fuck off!" I growled.

That's when the unexpected happened. He picked me up and threw me over his shoulder. I screamed and kicked and fought but he continued to walk until we were in the kitchen. He set me down. I glared at him.

"Ashlynn, please listen to him." My mother begged.

"Why should I? He never cared about me. That's why he left you to raise me on your own. We don't need him." I snapped.

"I left to raise Dahvie." My 'father' said.

I sneered. "Whatever."

"I just want to have the chance at being your father. And I'm sure Dahvie wants a chance to get to know his sister."

"You may be my father but I will never be your daughter. Not as long as you assume you left for the well being of him." I said, motioning toward Dahvie.

Dahvie just watched us. As did Jayy. I knew who they were. I just wasn't gonna go all fangirl on them. My mother seemed sort of relieved.

"So am I to assume you all are staying here?" I asked, annoyed.

My mother nodded.

"Fair warning. Don't bother me!" I yelled as I headed back upstairs to my room. Again, I locked it and blasted my music. I did my homework and then, just sat and thought about random shit. I didn't bother eating dinner. I knew that would've been a bad idea. Especially with knives near me. Not good. I fell asleep with my stereo still blasting.
