After Valentina came to the conclusion that the witches were probably behind her lack of transformation, she realized she needed to speak with one of them. Currently, she was packing her bags, not wanting to stay in the same house she shared with her now dead husband. Eve had offered Valentina to stay with her, but the alpha was too stubborn and needed to get answers as soon as possible. She wanted to find out what happened as quickly as she could so she could return back to her people.
Once she finished packing her bags, she scanned the room making sure she did not forget anything. She spotted her car keys and grabbed them before stepping out of her house. Valentina waved goodbye to Jackson's wolf before trekking to the outskirts of the bayou, where most of the pack leaves their cars.
A few minutes later she was already on her way to the French Quarter. She glanced around the car as she drove, remembering when Zach gave it to her.

"Guess what it is"
"Um I don't know? Oh! I know! You made me another necklace!" Valentina smiled at the thought of adding another one to her collection of necklaces and wristbands that he usually makes. On most full moons, when he has time to spare, he sat down in their room and made her an extended collection of jewelry.
Zach laughed and shook his head, "Nope, guess again."
"Well then I give up," she said.
Zach then grabbed something from his pocket and placed it in her hands. She looked down and smiled, knowing what it meant.
"You did not." Valentina smiled and jumped into his arms.
"Well I always saw you eyeing my dad's old corvette, and I thought that you needed your own," Zach said as he hugged her.
She let out a small laugh and looked into his eyes. Valentina admired him, taking in his beautiful blue eyes that she loved so much, "God I love you."
"I love you too princess."

Valentina sighed deeply, trying to shake off old memories. A few minutes later she finally arrived at the French Quarter. She drove around trying to find the infamous compound where the hybrid resided. She heard from Eve that Hayley was living there. If Hayley was looking for answers for the pack, then she probably had leads that would help them as well.
The alpha parked the car on the street and walked towards the compound. She stepped through the threshold slowly knowing that there were vampires lurking around. Suddenly, she saw a blur coming towards her. Quickly, she waited for the bloodsucker to come closer.
Then without hesitation, she drew her arm back and punched him. The vampire stumbled and Valentina took the opportunity to snap his neck.
She used her enhanced hearing to listen to other vampires nearby but there were none that were close to her. Satisfied, she continued to walk deeper into the compound. The alpha then walked up the stairs just in time to see Hayley walking into a room. Quickly, but quietly, she followed her sister.
