Admist of the chaos of our lives, we forget to acknowledge the small moments of happiness around us. We always try to find happiness in bigger and better things rather than appreciating the smaller ones.

All those little things that we do for are loved ones with love and adoration are the things we should live for. These are the things that we should look forward to.

The smile reflected, when we show our love and affection through are actions is worth dying for.

It's the small gesture that matters.

"I want to sleep!" Manik cried on the phone in irritation as soon as he picked up the call

"Kya hua..." Nandini questioned shaking her head.

"That Rohan, he took an emergency leave today. I have to handle his work too. We were suppose to be partners in this project. Professor said I had to complete it on my own in a day." He whined like a 9 year old kid devoid of his chocolate.

"Toh karlo nah." She said nonchalantly.

"Kya karlo nah! It's so much work!" She could visually see him banging his head on his table in frustration.

"You come over later. I'll help you." She said entering her class.

"Really?"

"Really. Really." She smiled on the phone.

"Nandini, you are the best!" He beamed in happiness.

"I'll come home soon. Thank you!
Muuah!" She blushed, disconnecting the call.

"Pagal." She shook her head turning a shade of scarlet.

As soon as the bell rang Nandini opened the door.

"Hey-"

"Hey yourself. Chalo bohot kaam hai." Manik pushed pass her.

"Hey! That was rude." She said closing the door shut and following him.

"Mukti kaha hai?" He questioned looking here and there.

"Job. Usse aane meh late hoga." She stated to which he nodded.

"Kuch khaoge? Khana ready hai." She questioned.

"Nandini time nahi hai. We have a deadline tomorrow. Buckle up!" He said opening his journal.

"Haan toh hojayega." She shrugged.

"Nanidni. Help karni hai toh karo. Disturb mat karo yaar." He flipped through the pages not paying attention to her.

"Thik hai nahi karungi! Bye!" She said moving out of the room.

"Arey, nandini." He sighed but nevertheless began working.

It was late night when Nandini returned to see Manik sleeping on his books.

She quietly tipped toed towards him and laid him in a less aching position.

"Goodnight." She softly kissed his forehead and wrapped a blanket around him. He snuggled into it closer, making Nandini giggle.

"Such a baby!" She muttered.

She removed the books from his hold and began completing the remaining work.

It was 4 in the morning when Nandini finished the project. She went besides Manik and slept cuddling in his warmth.

Manik knowingly threw his arm around her waist pulling her closer, sleeping in content.

Next morning when Manik woke up he was surprised to see his position. His one hand gripped Nandini, their legs tangled.

"Oh, shit. Project.." It suddenly came to him.

"Chilao mat. I completed it. 4 baje tak jaag rahi thi tumhare liye." She pouted in her sleep turning otherside from the sunlight.

"Awwww, baby." He smiled kissing my arm.

He saw the books and grinned.

"Thank you so much." He embraced her.

"Tell me mere bina tumhara kya hota?" She said not opening her eyes all this while.

"Tumhare bina mera kya hota." Manik smiled.

"Okay, main chalta hu. Dher ho rahi hai." Manik said glancing at the clock. He picked up his books in a rush.

"Tum kuch bhul rahe ho." She yelled in her sleep.

"Thank you." He planted a kiss making her snuggle closer.

"Mat jao. I want my teddy near me. You are a good cuddler."

"I'll be back before you know it. Sleep." He whispered into her ear making her giggle.

"I'll wait."

***

"I'm sorry Nandini. Please don't leave." Manik whispered wiping his tears away while making his way out of the jam. He pushed pass everyone and everything that came his way.

He had to bring his star back.

"Manik! Wait! Main bhi aa raha!" Cabir yelled from behind.
