Ellie' POV

I turn around and see Mitch behind me,

"No thanks I can get my own drink." I say

"Yes but I would like to buy you a drink is that illegal." He says

"No but it seems like you are stalking me which is quite creepy if I do say so myself." I say

Once again I am being defensive and not trusting in this guy who stands in front of me not to mention he's a famous NHL player he could easily just be trying to use me and I ain't falling for that shit.

" Yes I'm getting your drink I don't care what you say and also would you like to go on a date with me." He says

" Fine I'll allow you to pay for my drink this time only, and I'll agree to go on a date with you if it can be something relaxed and not fancy." I say

"Well I can definitely do not fancy and relax, your the first girl I've dated who actually wants to do something like that" he says

"Well what can I say I'm not like most girls". I say before picking up my drink and walking away but not before hearing Mitch whisper to himself " No you certainly aren't."

I go back to my hotel kind of excited for my date with Mitch, he is someone that I could maybe possibly see a future with unlike some guys who you know the relationship won't go far which is why I didn't date in High School. Why I am breaking my rule I have no idea but I never know if I don't give it a chance.

I realize at times that I should open up to more people, I have Jake and Matt back on PEI but that's really it I don't let anyone else into my little circle. Meeting Mitch might change that entire things as he's always around people and loves to make friends. Sometimes a little change can be good, I just hope I don't end up regretting it later on.

Mitch's POV

I finally asked her on a date, of course she was hesitant at first but I can understand why, I mean I'm an NHL player who always has attention on them. She's someone who doesn't let a whole lot of people in and doesn't like to be in the spotlight. She wants the date to be relaxed and not fancy which I can completely do. I hate having to plan those big expensive dates, I would rather just sit on the couch, watch a movie, eat pizza and drink beer honestly and she seems like the type of girl that would want to do something like that so that's what I'm going to plan.

Ellie's POV

Mitch had messaged me not long after i got home saying to meet at his place (sending me the address also) at 6 for our date and to not bother dressing super nice to be comfortable. So I throw on some sweatpants and a gym type shirt with my jacket and Birkenstock's. I leave for his house around 5:30 and arrive at 5:50. I walk up to the door and knock,

Hey Ellie, come on in I'm just waiting for supper and then everything else is set up." he says before backing up so I can get inside. At first I was worried I was going to see a whole big thing but when I walked into his living room I saw the perfect date exactly what I wanted. There was a movie on the tv I believe from where I was standing it is Deadpool 2, I keep looking and I see beers and chips, then Mitch walks in with pizza and that rights there completes my perfect date it just looks amazing.

" This is amazing Mitch, exactly what I wanted you basically read my mind." I say

" Well I'm very glad you like it I was worried there that you wouldn't that maybe it was to relaxed and you would think I wasn't putting enough effort into it." He says

" No Mitch it's perfect now lets sit down and eat I'm starving." I say

The date went perfectly we sat down drinking beer, eating pizza, and watching a movie under a blanket in which we snuggled in it it lasted until 11 when I knew I should be getting home. He was a gentlemen when I had to go didn't kiss me said he wanted to surprise me and that he would message me in the morning. I honestly can say I do not regret meeting Mitch.
