Chapter 1
I woke up when I heard my cellphone kept ringing. I ignored it for a few seconds and waited to stop ringing. But it didn't.
I sat up and grabbed the gadget angrily. I looked at the screen and my brows knitted automatically when I saw the word Unknown. I answered it after a sigh. It might be an emergency or something.
"Hell-" I was cut off by a loud noise. Agad kong nilayo ang cellphone ko sa tainga ko.
"BIG SIS!" Someone shouted excitedly. It was my little brother, Karlos.
Narrowing my eyes, I said. "Karlos, this must be good. You're calling me too early in the morning!" I groaned and rolled my eyes. "I should be still sleeping, little bro." I continued.
He was silent a few moments then he said. "What are you talking about? Where country are you?"
"Philippines."
"Then it's not too early, Big Sis. Tanghali ka na po!"
I looked at the clock which was displayed on the wall, facing my bed. 10:47AM.
"You're right."
"I am always right."
I rolled my eyes, still confused why he did call me. "Whatever. Bakit ka ba napatawag?"
"Kanina pa kitang hinihintay dito sa bahay, Ate. I thought something hap--- wait a second, you forgot it!" He cried out loud.
"What are---" Before I could ask him, he hung up.
I forgot what?!
I quickly grabbed my little calendar notebook on the table. I really didn't know what should I call it because I didn't know why should I have one. But it was a gift from my little bro. He called it Bonding Calendar because he wrote there the dates, anouncements, time, events etc., when we would be doing some siblings bonding time.

The words were written using a red ballpen. Our signatures was below of it as an agreement or more like a contract for me.
Shoot! I did forget the Hiking trip with him!
I threw the things on my hand and quickly went to the bathroom. After a few minutes, I was already dressed in a simple light blue sleeveless t-shirt, a pair of shorts and a pair of dirty white rubber shoes. I went out of my bedroom to go to the kitchen. I grabbed my keys on the counter and went to my car after locking my apartment. I was going to start the engine when I forgot my cellphone and my backpack for the trip.
I ran back to my apartment, unlocked the door, went to my bedroom, grabbed my stupid cellphone, the heavy backpack under my bed and went out my apartment after locking the door. I ran towards my car, opened it and threw my heavy backpack on the shotgun seat.
I was in the middle of driving when my phone rang. I answered the call and thought it might be Karlos.
I sighed. I was pretty sure he was mad about it.
"Hello, Ma'am Erica. Good-
"Karlos, I'm so---"
"--morning po. I sorry for disturbing you."
"Lyka?" I asked, confused.
"Yes, Ma'am. Lyka, your secretary." I nodded though she didn't see me.
"Is there any problem? Had I forgotten something?
"No, Ma'am, I think."
"What do you mean 'you think'?" Malapit na ako sa subdivision ng magulang. I could see the gate of their subdivision. Security guards were guarding it and wearing black suits. It was more like they were businessmen on that suit.
"Kasi po may dumating po na dalawang lalaki. The first one was---"
I cut her off, not wanting to hear her say his name. God, that guy was really obsessed. I thought and mentally shook my head. "Stop right there, Lyka. I don't want to hear anything about him. Tell me about the other guy. Is he one of the board members? May meeting ba ako ngayon sa kanya?"
"He's not a board member, Ma'am Erica."
"Eric."
"Ma'am Eric. I don't know if you have any meetings today because today is your bonding with Karlos."
"Yes, you're right." Damn. Buti pa ang sekretarya ko naalala na bonding time ko kasama si Karlos. "So what happened? What did he say?"
"I talked to him and asked what does he need to you. He said that both of you need to talk. I asked him if he set an appointment with you and he said yes. It confuses me, Ma'am. He also said that maybe you had forgotten to tell me about it." As she explained it, I saw the mansion where my family lived. Bumusina ako ng dalawang beses. The gate opened by two guards and let me to enter.
I closed my eyes and massaged my temples. "Lyka, I need you to search something. Maghanap ka ng gamot para hindi ako maging malilimutin." I hopped out of my car after parking it on the front of the masion. I handed my key to the valet, Mr. Rick. I was about to reach the doorknob when huge door opened, revealing my stupid-annoying brother, Mikael.
"Hey, Big Sis." he said while hugging me. "Watcha doin' here?" He wiggled his brows indicating he was teasing me or rather than annoying me. He stood there only wearing his wet swimming trunk. Obviously, he knew about the bonding and trying to annoy me.
I ignored him, not wanting to give him any satisfactory.
He chuckled when I walked pass him and said a goodbye and a good luck.
Good luck your face.
I was snapped back to reality when I heard a hello near my ear. Then I just realized I was talking to my secretary.
"I'm sorry, Lyka. I saw my annoying brother. He distracted me, a little." I sighed."What were you saying?
"I said ok, Ma'am Eric, about the medicine. Tungkol naman po sa meeting. Hindi ko po alam. Wala naman po kayong nasasabi sa aking meeting. May nakausap po ba kayo tungkol sa supposed to be meeting today, Ma'am?" She asked as I ran uptairs, going to my little bro's room?
I tried to remember abything about the meeting, but I didn't remember meeting someone that I needed to talk with. "Hindi ko maalala, Lyka. Umalis na ba siya? Did he wait for me?"
"Umalis po agad siya nang malaman niya na wala po kayo dito sa office. He also asked why aren't you here. Sabi ko po ang tungkol sa bonding ninyong magkapatid pagkatapos ay umalis na siya." She explained as I reached the room.
"Who is he?" I asked as I was about to grabbed the doorknob when suddenly someone opened it.
"Si Mr. Tristan Perez po."
