Helloooo

On the day known as Saturday, November 10 (like a week ago), was our drumline competition.

Basically, in the week before that, percussion has been working on their parts in the show and adding some solos and visuals and stuff in there so it looks really cool - it's literally just the drumline playing the show, and we play that performance at a drumline competition.

At this drumline competition, there are two groups depending on the size of the drumline. You can get an award for the top three places in the group, and there's awards for best snare line, best base line, best tenor line, and best front ensemble. There's also overall champion.

Anyway, I felt really good about our performance, and one of my friends cried because she's a senior, so this is her last competition ever, and because it was actually a good run. Still, after watching other drumlines perform, we were like, 'Uh, well, we didn't get top three.'

We won second place in our group, 5th place overall (out of 31). We also got best tenors and snares (A first for us! I'm really proud and excited for them!), which was pretty good.

It was a good way to end the season, I think.

...

Oh, and I almost broke my face, because I was walking up the stands at the stadium when my foot slipped, and before I totally died, I caught myself in almost a pushup position with my hands on two different levels of seats; it was kinda cool, but it could've been devastating.

...

And my friend drank one of those little containers of coffee creamer straight from the little cup for the first time.

...

And, um, yeah.

Marching season's now over, a kind of bittersweet thing because I was ready for it to end but Imma be really sad because during concert season, I won't be able to spend as much time with some of my favorite people. But at least I get more rest and time. But Imma miss it. But praise the lord it's over.

Anyway, this is it for my 2018 marching season; it went off fairly well and holds many grand memories~
