SEAN'S POV:
Me and my brother dart through the water like a torpedo. Colorful fish swim below us in the reefs. And dolphins swim beside us as we race, around rocks and over reefs. I do a front flip in the water. I look at my brother who is smiling at me. "Jealous?"
I smile at him.
"Jealous...why would I ever? Bet you can't even keep up with me?"
I grin.
"Bet!"
I yell at him. He darts away leaving a trail of bubbles behind him as he swims. I follow him swimming as fast as my tail can swim. I finally catch up to him and we both smile at each other. We get to an old ship that sank. I swim in a circle around the mast as my brother follows me. We keep swimming until we see two rocks, referred to as the finish line. We race to the rocks, feet away, suddenly dolphins swim around us clicking and whistling. We stop and laugh and swim along with the dolphins. We go back to the coral reef to take a break. We sit on a couple of large walks and look at the dolphins swimming above us. He looks at me and smiles. "Not bad."
I smile.
"I would've beaten you."
"No you would've."
We both laugh. All of the sudden, a huge shadow goes across us. We both look up and see a ship.
"Wow..."
Says my brother in amaze. I frown at the ship. My parents have told me many times that humans are dangerous, but my brother was always curious about them. My brother left the rock and started to swim up towards the ship.
"No...we can't go up to the surface...it's forbidden."
"Oh come on Sean...just a look."
I frown and follow him as he swims closer to the ship. Out of the blue, a huge net drops into the water. We noticed fish got tangled in it and couldn't get out. My brother swims to the net trying to untangle the fish.
"We should be here...it's not safe"
I say.
"I know but we need to save the fish..."
I sigh and go help my brother. We untangled all the fish. I slightly smiled happy of my accomplishments.
"We should get going now..."
I look at my brother. He nods and I start to swim away.
"Sean!"
I hear him yell. I jump and turn to him.
"My tail...it's stuck!"
I look at his tail and frown seeing it tangled in the net. I swim over to his tail and try to get the net untangled.
"It must have gotten tangled when we were freeing the fish."
My brother frowns. I tried getting his tail free but it's no use.
"I'll go get mom and dad to help."
He nods and I start to swim away until I hear a loud noise. I look at the net and see it start to slowly rise to the surface. My eyes widen in fear.
"Sean!!"
My brother screams as the net slowly drags him to the surface. I swim to him and hold on to his arm and he does the same to me.
"Don't let go ok!"
I tell him. The net rises up above the water and I can feel our arms slowly slip apart. Tears form in my eyes as I look at my brother. He's halfway out of the water. "No!!"
I scream. His hands slowly let go of me as he is dragged to the surface.
"Sean!!"
He cries. Tears stream down my face.
"Don't leave me!"
I cry. But his hands disappear above the surface of the water and the boat drives away...Hey guys! Hope you enjoyed the story so far. This is my first story so sorry if it's cringy. 😊
