The Sea Witch

The next day, I woke up and swam out of the Kingdom. I swam to the Mer Knowledge Library and saw someone working there.
"Excuse me..." I said.
The mermaid turned around.
"Yes?"
"Do you have any books about sea witches?"
"Yes on the third shelf in the back corner to your right."
"Thank you."
I swam to the back right back corner of the library and looked on the third shelf. I looked for the book and after a while I saw a book called "Sea Witches of the Sea". I grabbed the book and looked through it to see if it said anything about sea witches. There was a chapter called "The Given Soul". I read through the chapter and it said "In the Sea of Dreams is where you'll find, yet beauty but chaos that lurks behind. Where souls disappear, behind they lurk near. A deal you shall never make, or your life will be at stake. Soul's Trench under the Sea Bed, darkness around close to Death's Fed." I pondered at what it meant. Sea of Dreams? Soul's Trench? This made no sense. I go back to the librarian and ask ,
"Do you happen to know anything about the Sea of Dreams?"
"I'm afraid I do not...the Sea of Dreams isn't even believed to exist. You might be able to find something out in mythology
books."
"Ok...thank you."
I swim to the mythology section and find books about mythical seas. I look through the book and there it is. "Sea of Dreams" a chapter read. I flipped through the pages and found that there has been only legends of the Sea of Dreams but the book says if you go into a the Whirlpool of Light you'll get to the sea of Dreams were you will find a crystal cave that a Sea Witch lurks in. The Whirlpool of Light is off the Eastern Coast of the Coral Reef. It said to only be legends...was this really worth it. But I was determined. So I put the book back but a paper fell out of it. I looked at it. It was folded up. I grabbed it and opened it up. The writing was kinda hard to read but I made put the words I could. "Some sea witches are kind... passionate...waters...But some are dangerous. An evil sea witch named Adrestia...sourcecer of evil and dark magic...souls taken..." The letter said some other stuff but the handwriting looked like it's been rushed. I frowned and but the paper back in the book. I swam out of the library and over the Coral Reef and headed East. All the fish swam under me in the coral and schools of silver fish would dart by. I smiled seeing all the colors. The ocean is a beautiful place. I suddenly feel a slight change in the water. I frown feeling some sort of force. I look over some coral and see a huge whirlpool. My eyes widen.
This whirlpool was huge. I slowly swim closer to it feeling the force start to pull me. I look at the whirlpool closely and saw what looked like streaks of light swirling in it. I looked at it in wonder. All of the sudden I felt my body jerk in the water and I was being pulled closer to the whirlpool. It was so strong, I couldn't swim away. I get thrashed and tugged and thrown in the water. I see the light of the whirlpool shine brighter and then all I feel is the strong force of water going over my weak body, until everything goes black. I slowly open my eyes to me laying on the see floor. My blurry vision goes back to normal. I look around and my eyes widen. I get up off the sea floor seeing a swirl of something that was a purplish color. I touches it and it slowly disappeared. I looked around and gasped seeing the whole ocean around full of them. It felt so...magical. it was beautiful. I swam up to the swirls and they glowed. I smiled and in the corner of my eye I saw something really shiny. I looked down and saw a dark trench with something faintly shining from the darkness. I swam down in that direction. It got darker and darker. Sea kelp came out of nowhere. It tangled around my tail. I frowned as I swam quickly to escape it. In the distance I saw a cave. It must be a Sea Witch's cave. I got away from the sea kelp and swam to it and looked at the cave seeing crystals sparkle off the walls of the cave. I swam in and looked around at all the crystals. The water got cold which made me frown.
"What brings you here..."
A voice from the darkness said. I jumped and looked around nervoussly.
"Don't be afraid...I don't bite."
Then a creature came out of the darkness of the shadows. It's skin was a blue green color, and its eyes were purple. It's long hair flowed through out the water. It had tentacles for the bottom half of it's body. My eyes widened seeing it. She was very beautiful. She smirked at me.
"W-who are you?"
"I'm Adrestia. What brings you here."
I gulped. For some reason that name sounded familiar to me. And something in her voice was not good. It felt almost evil or like as if possessed with dark magic. I said,
"I want to go to the surface..."
"Really?"
She swam closer to me and looked me in my eyes. She smiled.
"How so?"
"I've never been up there and..."
"You're in love..."
"What?"
"Trust me...for thousands of years mer people have gone to me asking the same thing. I can see it in their eyes."
I slightly frown.
"C-could you help me..."
"Of course I can...for a price."
She smirks as my face frowns.
"W-what's the price?"
She smirks as she swims closer to me and uses one of her tentacles to hold up my chin.
"A deal."
I frown having the words

"In the Sea of Dreams is where you'll find, beauty yet chaos that lurks behind. Where souls disappear, behind they lurk near. A deal you shall never make, or your life will be at stake."
I frown at the Sea Witch. I think for a minute, then say,
"What's the deal?"
