Have I Been Told The Truth (Septiplier)

The First Day

A smirk forms on Adrestia's face. I slowly frown as she goes behind me and puts her hands on my shoulders. "You're heart is pure Jack..." She starts.
"You must get the human to fall in love with you in three days time and then break his heart before the sun sets on the third day or else...you're soul is mine."
She hisses in my ear. I frown. Break his heart. I...I couldn't do that. Maybe this was a bad idea. What if I could just talk to his like this. No. He'll think I'm a hideous creature. Sigh. I don't have a choice then.
"I-i...I accept..."
A feeling of regret overwhelms my body. She swims in from of me evilly grinning. I try to smile. She fiddles with her hands creating blue swirls that spark. She holds her hands in front of me and blows the swirls to me. They surround me and spin around my entire body. I look around nervously. Then everything goes black. I groan feeling my head pound. The sound of ocean waves crashing wakes me. Strange, dry air blows over me. I slowly blink my eyes. I look at where I'm laying. I put my hand in the soft sand surrounding me. I look up at tall, green figures. I gasp in amazement. I put my hands out in front of me and try to get up but a weird feeling comes from below my waist. I manage to roll my self on my back. I look below my waist to see two strange things instead of my tail. I gasp as they move. I smile. So this is what being a human feels like. I move them and try to get up. I wobble up. I shake as, I think, I'm standing. I breathe in the fresh smell of the ocean in the air. I look at the ground and try to take a step. I immediately face plant on to the sand. I look up to see an old man walk to me.
"Are you ok sir..."
A human. I grow nervously and think if what to say. But without giving me a chance he grabs my arm and helps me stand up.
"You can't even stand on your own legs."
Legs? I thought. Is that what people called these strange things that people walk on. "T-thank you."
I manage to say. He nods. I look at the colorful cloth covering his body.
"What is on you?"
I ask in confusion.
"Clothes." Oh. "I've had those days where you drink too much and suddenly wake up with no clothes on a beach."
He laughs.
"Come with me. I'll get you something to wear."
I smile and follow him as he slowly walks to a nearby structure. I wobble on my legs as I follow him. He goes in and let's me in. I look around in awe. So I'd this like a house for humans. The old man disappears into a room. He comes out with clothes and says that I can wear them. I thank the man and he leads me into a different room. I change into the clothes. I thank the man again as he allows me to leave.  I wobble out and look around. I take in the view and the smells. I hear noises which sounds like someone talking. I walk behind the trees and see tall buildings and strange metal things. And so many people. I approach nervously. My home in the ocean could not compare to all the colors of everything and all the smells, noises, and sights. I awe at everything. I'm getting better at walking. I smell...a  delicious smell. Like the smell I have never smelled before. I look around and see a building that says 'Chapter One Restaurant'. The smell seems to be coming from that place. As I'm in a trance, in the corner of my eye I see a lady with a cop of water walk towards me not looking where she's going. I frown and look at her. Before I could react she bumps into me and spills the cup of water on me. I gasp. "Oh I'm so sorry."
She says as she looks up to me. I frown feeling my legs tingle. I'm going to transform. I look around in fear. I can't here! I look around for a building to go in and hide. I panic and run in a direction. As I'm running I feel my body slam into something...or someone. I look up and eyes widen. The same man that rescued me...was right in front of my eyes.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't see you there."
He says his voice as velvet. I snap out of it and remember that I need to hide somewhere. I frown and run from the man and into the nearest building.
"Wait..."
I hear in the distance. There was a room that said 'Closet'. I frown. It's better than nothing. I open the door and run in and lock the door behind me. I immediately feel my legs give out and I fall to the ground making a loud thump. I look at my tail that takes up the entire closet. I frown. I gasp as I hear footsteps and then knocking on the closet door.
"Hey is someone in there?" Someone says. I frown. My tail has to dry for my legs to come back.
"Hey?!"
I hear as the man pounds on the door. I frown. The scales of my tail slowly start to fade and my tail breaks into two legs. I scurry to my feet and open the door. The man looks at me strangely.
"What were you doing in there?"
I try to think of an answer.
"I was looking for something..." The man lifts a brow. I try to smile.
"Don't go in there again."
The man says. I nod and slowly walk out of the building. My heart skips a beat seeing the man with the voice of velvet a few feet away in the crowd of humans. He looks like he's looking for me. I slowly walk to him.
"H-hey..."
I manage to say. The man turns to me. I smile.
"I-i'm sorry for running off earlier...I had to...do something..."
He slightly frowns but then smiles.
"It's ok. It must have been important if you were running across town."
I slightly frown.
"My name's Mark." 
He says. I smile.
"My name's Sean...but you can call me Jack."
We both smile.
"I-i'm sorry but...you just look familiar. Are you sure we haven't met before."
I slightly frown. I can't tell him that I'm the weird fish person he saved on the beach.
"I don't think so."
I say. He shrugs.
"Are you new around here."
I nod. He smiles.
"I can show you around if you want."
He says.
"I'd love that."
I say. He smiles and walks me around town. I see all these colorful, bright buildings. All the smells were....delicious. Mark brought me into a place that was called 'Clement & Pekoe'. We can in and sat down. Mark bought us both a warm and delicious smelling drink.
"Want some coffee?"
He asked smiling.
"Sure."
I responded as I took the drink. I hesitantly  took a sip. Oh. My. God. It was so good! All the flavors swirling in my mouth. The energy that sparked inside of me. I felt like it was a dream. Mark smiled at me noticing my reaction. "Good huh?"
He asked smiling. I nod in delight.
"So where are you from Jack."
I almost choke on my coffee. "Um...far away from here..."
I try to smile. He lifts a brow. "Ok?"
For the rest of the day Mark showed me more of the town. It was beautiful here. And everyone was so nice. I love the human world. Mer people have it all wrong. People aren't dangerous. It was getting dark out. Mark looked at me.
"Well this is the end of the tour. I hope you enjoyed it."
Mark says smiling. I smile and say
"Thank you it was wonderful." Mark bows. I clap laughing. "Well I have to head back to my place. Where do you live?"
I frown.
"I...don't live anywhere."
I say. Mark frowns.
"You are welcomed to stay at my place."
Mark suggests.
"No...I couldn't ask for that. You did so much for me already." "It's fine. I promise."
I think. I do need Mark to fall in love with me..and so maybe being closer to him will help.
"Ok..."
I say. He smiles and we both walk to his house. He lived in what he called an apartment. He opened the door for me and let me walk in.
"This place is really nice."
I say looking around.
"Thanks."
He smiles. He disappears into a room and them comes out with clothes in his hand. He hands then to me.
"You can wear these for now."
I smile and take the clothes. He leads me to a room with a bed and a dresser. And beautiful curtains covering the window. I look around in awe.
"Make yourself at home."
He says.
"My house is your house."
I smile and thank him. I change into the clothes Mark gave me. They were very comfortable. I looked at the bed and flopped down onto it. My legs hurt from walking all over town. I had the best time of my life today. I closed my eyes from the tiredness that filled me. What's tomorrow going to be?

Sorry this chapter was longer than usual and the many times you guys have probably heard in every mermaid movie the sea witch is like "The human must fall in love with you in three days time or else you're going to have to return to the sea." And possibly die in the process and it's like "Lady I'm not that attractive like I can't get anyone to kiss me in two years time." But you know the power of story telling.
