Jason's POV:

I'm not even sure what to think.

Piper seems to be sizing Ivan up every single time she looks at him. She softly grabs my hand and intertwines our fingers. Ivan glances down at our hands and Piper glares at him again.

"I'm sorry, do you have a problem with me?" Ivan asks Piper, not nearly as cold as I expected.

"Well, you kind of put one of my closest friends under a love potion and killed her when she was twelve, so...yeah. I might have a minor problem with you." Piper snaps back, venom dripping from her voice. Ivan sighs and looks down again.

"Okay, well, maybe we should all just...try to stop hating each other?" I try, separating myself from both of them. Ivan shrugs and Piper glares at him again. I'm about to tell them to stop being so childish when a bright yellow light suddenly illuminates the whole room. There are a few yelps and thuds and someone falls on top of me. I fall to the ground and the person lands on me. The bright yellow light blinds me from seeing who it is.

When the light dies down again, I look up to be met with dazzling, bright emerald green eyes and a beautiful freckled face. Curly black hair falls down her shoulders and my breath catches in my throat at the sight of her.

"Max..." My voice is small. She smiles brightly at me and I leap off the floor. The moment we're both on our feet again, she embraces me in a huge hug. I hug her back and actually lift her a foot off the ground. She chuckles and squeezes me tighter.

"Oh god, I am so sorry." It's a voice I don't recognize, definitely Mogadorian. I look towards where Piper is, and apparently whoever else that was teleported here with Max landed on top of Piper. Now he's furiously apologizing and trying to help her up. Max chuckles and rolls her eyes at him. He has the normal Mogadorian traits; black hair and eyes and pale skin. His hair is short and kind of thick, with bangs hanging over his eyes. He's cute, I won't lie.

"I am so sorry, I didn't mean to do that." The Mog tells Piper, helping her to her feet again. She chuckles and tells him it's okay. She turns to me and her expression brightens at the sight of Max.

"Max!" She immediately jumps to Max and hugs her tightly and Max hugs her back. I look towards Ivan and my whole world seems to freeze. He landed on top of Ivan, his hands on the floor to hold himself up so he doesn't lay on him. Both their eyes are wide at the sight of each other and I have no idea why. But I look deeply into Ivan's eyes and...it's the same look. The same intensity, the same emotions. Oh gods.

"R-Remo?" Ivan stutters. He looks scared yet hopeful at the same time.

"Ivan." Remo states, climbing off of Ivan and helping him to his feet. They're almost the exact same height and they stare deeply into each other's eyes.

Max and the first Mogadorian glance at each other nervously, a knowing look on both their faces.

"Ivan." Max calls out to Ivan, her glare cold as ice as she stares at Remo. Ivan looks at her and smiles, but he doesn't let go of Remo's hand.

"It was him, wasn't it? In the West Virginia base?" Max asks Remo, her voice cold and hard as steel. Remo sighs and looks at Max with a pleading look in his eyes.

"Maggie, just listen-"

He's blasted to the other side of the room by Max's telekinesis. Apparently he's not using his Dreynen on her anymore.

Ivan looks stunned. He obviously has no idea what's happening. I don't. And by the looks of it, Piper doesn't, either.

"Wait, what...what's going on?" Ivan stammers, staring at Max with a confused look on his face.
