chapter 3

2 weeks have passed, Mina officially joined our group.I guess she feels happy that she's finally gone from all those daily Kai.

We would sit together in our group and talk about random topics which made us laugh. It was peaceful, we didn't have many people but it was just nice. all 6 of us were sitting around the table, leaving no gaps. It was nice and comfy.

RIIINGGG

The bell rang as we got up and did our daily routine of walking Mina and Irene off.

"How's my girl doing?"Chen ran over to Jisoo as soon as we step our foot in our class.

She did nothing, well maybe a hi but did nothing after that. After close observation for the past 2 weeks, I found out what type of girl Jisoo is. And I think Chen did too.

Jisoo is those type of girl that likes it quiet, she won't really accept people easily. I'm sure she realised about Chen's obvious flirts. She knows Chen was into her, but she is those type that would act like she doesn't know but deep down, she is smiling. Chen knows about that and so he kept playing along.

"What's up Jae,"Jackson greeted me and said. Well, he greeted me cause I was right at the door and he couldn't get in.

Jackson is one of the cool kids. Like those troublemakers that always get detention and suspension. Normally people won't wanna hang out with them cause he's bad news but he's different when he's in class. He acts like a dick when he is with his friends but causes there was no one in the same class as him this year he didn't do anything that might make it difficult for the teacher. He's pretty nice to hang out with if you know him...well...I know his brother. That should explain enough.

I let him pass and he walked to his seat which was next to Mark.

"How's my favourite autistic boy doing?"He joked as he high-fived Mark. He was insulting him in an obvious way but Mark was from another country and his Korean wasn't so good, so he didn't catch the insult, everyone, on the other hand, knew about it and laughed about it. looking at the time, I stepped in to stop the whole thing since it's Miss Shara's class and she was one of my favourite teachers.

"Stop joking around Jackson, that kid is too pure for this world, he won't even get the joke. Now get to your seat, the teacher is coming."I said as I sat down. Seeing that I wasn't even joking, he stared at me for a while and walked away to his own sit.

We don't actually have any sitting plan, we just sit randomly but they would always sit on the same spot.

"Hey guys, How's break?"Our teacher came in and said.

We all made a big fuss about how we could have longer breaks and all but the teacher didn't give a damn

"So, today we would be doing something like a debate. So divide into 2 groups of your own choice, The price for today winner is pizza."Everyone got worked up cause canteen food was expensive and overrated, the only time people enjoyed it was when someone bought the food for them and my family never eats pizza so it's considered as a luxury for me. Pizza is life!

Chen and I naturally got into the same group since we always hang out, we slowly got into 2 groups but just as we were about to start, the teacher stopped us.

"Chen, go to Jisoo's team."She said. I know it made me sound petty but I was legit pissed, She legit said to make a group of two by our own choice, I hate to admit it but I needed that smart brain of his. Without him, I couldn't get the pizza.

"Miss, you can't just do that. you said we could make our own group with our own choice!"

"I know, but your team is filled with all the smart ones, with you and Chen in the same team, it's unfair for the other team since you always take the prizes."

"But that is still not fair..."

"Look, Jae, I know that you like Chen and don't want his to be in that group because Jisoo is in that group but I think that's enough now."She said. everyone laughed as they heard that, and I became pissed. This joke about me and Chen has been going on for a while, it's about how she had this weird drama going on her head about how I like Chen but Chen likes Jisoo and I don't like Jisoo cause Chen likes her. The typical love triangle, she always uses it cause everyone laughs at it and she thought that she was funny. I could always destroy her like how I did to the past teacher but I didn't cause I was a nice person and I didn't want to make the situation awkward so I just laugh it off but this time is too much. It's disgusting enough that it was Chen that she joked me with and now I lose my golden ticket for pizza? It was like something hit me and broke something in me.

I scorn at them as I shake my head in disappointment. But I didn't do anything else since she had an upper hand and I realize that it was a dumb thing to get worked up for but I started looking at miss Shara at a different point of view.

"Ok, I will make it more even with the groups, Jae, your team is already stronger than the other one in many ways so I'm gonna put Mark in your group." everyone was just making noises and hyping her up. I could obviously see that she was enjoying it. I don't know how The past me used to think of her as a nice teacher, a teacher that would joke around with us and a teacher which was different from the others, one that would stand by our side.

"What? Miss, how can you make me as if I'm just a stepping stone for the team?" Mark said as he too finds it offensive. But everyone laughed again, including the teacher herself. I could already see that Mark was at the edge of crying but I didn't do anything since its none of my business and I'm sick of handling the students that wanted to complain about her 'funny' jokes to the principle with the teacher's jokes that were always over the line,I mean, can she even do that ?

everyone was laughing and that hurt Mark, no matter how big the language barrier was, people could always know when they are being bullied. He couldn't take it anymore and walked off slamming the door.

everyone including the teacher became quiet as they finally realized that they were over the line.I was just minding my business as I heard something I never thought I would hear.

" That was too much Jae, even if Mark is slightly in the weaker side, you didn't have to say anything so bad that made him cry."She said in a serious tone, everyone became quiet as they realised that she was serious. I had a 'Nani the fuck' face on, I didn't say anything mean to mark, I didn't even laugh at him when they were but since she was the teacher that everyone liked I couldn't say anything. She forced me to go outside and apologize to Mark.

I walked around looking for Mark while thinking that the scene just now was total bullshit. I honestly thought about many things but it would cause too much trouble. I already did too much in the past, I can't afford to let myself in trouble again. To graduate, I need to just stick to the plan of being a bystander and not cause or be part of any trouble.

As I was thinking about my revenge plans that I would never commit, I saw Mark walking angrily down the walkway, kicking things on the floor, mumbling to himself.

"Hey, Mark!" I shouted out, causing him to stop and turn back. I walked towards him and cross my arms around his neck.

"Wanna eat some ice cream?"
