Story of JAE

Chapter One

"Get up Jae. You gonna be late for school if you keep on lazing in bed." My mom calls from downstairs and said.

I ignore her warning and stay in the exact position. I'm laying down, on the floor, and staring blankly at the ceiling. There's nothing hanging on the ceiling though, it's just a plain ordinary ceiling. But for some reason, I'm just staring at it with nothing in my mind. I close my eyes and take a deep breath. Life now is good. I enjoy the serenity where there's nothing bothering me. No trouble no drama no anything. I exhale my breath and open my eyes.

"Coming!" I get up, take my bag, and run downstairs.

"Seriously, you always take your time. We're gonna be late for school because of you." My mom playfully hit me on the back as a serious face plasters on her pretty face.

"It's fine ma, I know the teacher." I joke around, obviously not caring much.

"Know your teacher my foot! Get your ass in the car now or you're really gonna be late." She scolds and stuffs a piece of bread in my mouth.

After a 10 minute drive, I reach school and arrive 10 minutes early. I don't get parents, we legit have enough time to drive through McDonald's yet they panic like it's the end of the world.

"Sup!" Irene greets me as she sits down sloppily with earphones in her left ear. We kinda have a hideout where we hang out every morning before the bell rings. I like it there, it's quiet and not many people pass by.

I nod my head as a response and sit beside Irene, resting my head on her shoulder.

"Hey guys." Suga uttered lazily with his deep voice. He seems tired but oh well, he's always tired. He drops his bag and sits next to us.

"Sup Suga, you seem tired. Did your mom ask you to send your lil bro to school again?"Irene asked, assuming that's what happened.

"Yeah... I wish I could just leave them on the road and run away. They are such inconvenient things," he stretches his torso and squints his eyes as he looks up at the white, blue sky.

--------Just like that, we did out daily routine where we would just hang out until the bell ring. It's not always just us trio, there would be people that come and go. But in the hideout, there would always be us three there.Well, them two most of the time, I would miss my bus and get late for various reasons. this might confuse you but my parents aren't around all the time due to work so I take the bus most of the time, today was just because she had a day off.

Irene is my first friend I made in school after being transferred in this school as a first-year high schooler at like the end of the year even though I just finished primary school. Don't ask why, I'm still pissed at the fact that I missed out on free hotpot and my holidays just to attend school.

I met Irene due to a teacher introducing me to her. She was a new kid too, by just a few months.

"Hi! my name's Jae, nice to meet you."I said while sitting down.She stared at me for a solid 10 second and turned back and did what she was doing after saying hi.

Just like that I started hanging out with her. Unlike her, I wasn't the social type of people.I would make friends with people that I think are pretty nice until I think that I have enough friends and just stop socialising and just stick with who I want to. I hang out with Irene with her bunch of friend for about a year or two. That's when Irene pulled Suga in our group...That was also the year when Chen transferred to our school and the same class as me and Irene.

Chen was a decent kid, actually, no, he's decent at making people liking him.He knows how to catch people's interests, That's why he's our home teacher's pet. He started hanging out with us cause of this one girl which origin from the same country as him. He was really happy cause he could speak his language with her. Soon he started dating her but that only last for 2 months.He got caught by the girl's dad when they were making out in her room. Daddy became so pissed that they were forced to break up.

A year after that, our group became too big and I broke out from it cause of the crowd. Don't get me wrong, I like those people, I just don't do well with crowds, we still talk and stayed as friends. Irene followed me cause... I actually don't know why. Anyways, Suga and Chen followed because Suga is close friends with Chen and Chen was running away from the now-to-be-ex which was in the same group as us before and we stayed as 4.We started hanging out in the canteen and stayed like that for a year or 2.

At the 2nd year of hanging our as a 4, 3 girls transferred over, one of them was our main character, Mina.She was in Irene's class while the other 2 came transferred to the class where I was stuck with Chen.

"Pts, Jae!"He whispered.

I turned around waiting for his response.

"You see that girl, She's wearing a bracelet."He said excitedly.

I didn't get what was the fuss of that for a bracelet. Looking at my expression, he rolled his eyes and explained that it was branded and is pretty expensive. I still didn't really care cause I don't get fashion and branded stuff are normally ugly. But normally when he tells me about someone, he would be interested in he and would hit on her.

"I'm gonna hit on her."He smirked and said. I sniggered at his comment but didn't say anything.

"You're gonna help me, Right?"He leaned his body closer to me as he indirectly threatened me. He was really close, his eyes were locked to mine and I could hear his breath.He was always like that, trying to get everyone in his charms but sorry, that doesn't work on me. I'm already taken, by food.Unintimidated, I leaned forward, making our distance closer.

"You owe me food if I do so, you do know that, Right?" I said as I smiled brightly at him.

"MHmm, What type of food? It can't be too expensive cause I need to save up to charm the new kid k?"He asked and gave it a serious thought.

"Wow, so much for asking a favor, anyways,I don't know, let's say you owe me first, when I know what I want I'll ring you up"I said as I get up and walked towards the new kid.I'm good at socializing when I make an effort so soon, She started hanging out in our group and I, watched everything. Him flirting and hitting on her.

Jealous? Nah, I'm more of a viewer sitting in front of the TV and a chef, those that add some salt when the drama isn't entertaining enough. After all ,I like watching drama, just not being in it.By the way, if you guys are looking forward of romance... this isn't a story for you.I go solo and would forever.
