A Love Is Born (Completed)

Chapter. 1

The pair of children emerge from the forest. Half an hour has passed since Serena ran into the forest initially, by now it was around noon and Serena adjusted her sunhat to compensate for this. Ash was smiling as he looked at all of the Pokémon in the area. Serena still shocked about what happened in the forest, was still nervous and holding onto to Ash's hand. She saw what Ash was doing and calmed down a bit and looked took in the scenery like he was. She took a deep breathe and let go of Ash's hand then after running ahead of him, she stopped and faced Ash. She smiled and while slightly blushing, thanked Ash. Ash caught of guard by this, giggled and gave a thumbs up to her Serena, after seeing this, laughed as well. She then felt herself smile for the first time at the camp.

The pair then walked to the main site of the camp and saw other kids. Ash smiled when he saw the others and wanted to run to talk with them about Pokémon he saw in the forest. Serena saw this and pondered what to do. She was caught of guard by Ash grabbing her hand and pointed at the group of kids. He then told her to run with him to them. Before she could respond he started running. Serena then started to run to and eventually caught up with Ash. Before Ash could say anything a bell rang symboling for everyone to come to the middle of the camp. After all of the kids took a seat a man came out the nearby lab.

He introduced himself as Professor Oak and smiled to all the kids while giving a wave. Everyone did the same in unison Serena was sitting next to Ash looking at him, she wasn't really into Pokémon like he was, it was quite the opposite due to her being afraid of Pokémon. But instead, wanted to be friends and hang out with Ash.

Ash was totally oblivious to this and was to intrigued by the professor and what he had to say. He talked about the camp and what activities they were going to do. Ash got more and more excited when he heard this. He then told everyone that they would get a "buddy" and spend the camp with them. This got Serena's attention thinking of how she and ash could be in a group. Ash then heard what he wanted to. In each group there would be one Pokémon the pair would train together and become friends with. Ash could hardly contain his excitement. Professor Oak then stopped talking.

Gary Oak the grandson of the professor was a friend/rival of sorts to Ash, he approached him and told him he hoped that the two would be together. Ash nodded and gave a thumbs up. Serena saw this and began to tear up.

But before she started to, Oak then announced that the groups have already been assigned. He got out a sheet of paper and cleared his throat. He then told the kids the first pair. He said Serena's name, she hoped a certain name would be paired with her. She closed her eyes and listened closely. She heard something and all she could do was smile.
