Serena then wanted to jump out of her shoes due to her excitement, she could now hang out more with Ash. She than looked over at Ash who was looking at her. He gave a smirk and told Serena about how fun this was going to be. She smiled and nodded in agreement. The two then listened to the other groups announced.
20 minutes have passed and the two are walking together around the camp. Both were smiling and walking close to one another. Ash then stops and looks towards the forest where the two met and runs in. Serena caught off guard runs after him.
Ash then stops and turns around toward Serena. He asks why she was here in the forest when the two first met. Serena doesn't respond at first. Ash then continues to run toward a creek. He bends down and looks at the Pokémon in the area. A flock of pidgey soar over head and Ash smiles. He then sees Bulbasaur walking around. The Pokémon approaches Ash and he began to smile. Serena backs up and hides behind Ash. He giggles and pets the Pokémon and it sighs due to the petting. Ash then softly grabs Serena's hand and puts it on the Pokémon. Ash assures her that it's ok, and if something were to happen he'd be there to protect her. She heard this and felt more at ease, she then decided to try it. She pets the Pokémon and smiles as the Pokémon cries happily.
After a few minutes of petting, thetwo hear a Pokémon cry loudly, When Serena heard this she was screaming and hiding behind Ash. The Pokémon slowly approached Ash and he was able to determine that it was a Ursarang. Ash didn't back down and stood there protecting both Serena and Bulbasaur. Ursarang then charged at everyone and Ash braces himself. Serena couldn't look and bent down.
Then the Bulbasaur jumped in front of both of them and used bullet seed to fend off the charging Pokémon. Ursarang then left. Serena clung onto Ash still in shock, he then responded with a smile. He thanked the little Pokémon before it departed.
The two then hear a megaphone telling all the kids to group up. Ash thinking it was to get a Pokémon, ran toward the sound. Serena sighed deeply and ran after him. She didn't mind the running if it meant to be with Ash more. She smiled as she told her self this and ran faster till she was ahead of him
