"Maybe it's not working out, because God is working out something better. Sometimes it takes your breakdown to create your breakthrough. Sometimes our greatest blessings come from our biggest disappointments"
When I was with Damien everything just felt right. Damien was definitely behaving, and I knew something was up. He just couldn't be acting like a gentleman for no reason. For example, yesterday he came all the way to my apartment just to take me food shopping... who even does that? Then to top it all off, he carried all of the shopping bags back up to the kitchen and helped me put it all away.
I mean to anyone else, it would seem completely normal, but this was Damien and let's face it; Damien was the rudest man that I had ever come across.
Nonetheless, I took this to my advantage because I knew that once he switched then there was no coming back. Me and Kristen were on our way to meet the designer of my wedding dress. We were in Paris for the weekend.
Damien insisted that we had to take his private jet (not that I complained anyway) . I was so nervous. I had only ever spoken to this man over the phone and he always seemed to energetic. The walk to the boutique wasn't even a five-minute journey from Damien's penthouse in Paris.
The view which we had was amazing. It was in mere access of the Eiffel tower. The apartment was very classic with marble flooring and flowers everywhere. It was unlike his bachelor pad I'd seen. We had finally arrived at the boutique and I pressed the buzzer to be greeted by a woman's voice replying back to me, "Givenchy bridalwear boutique; do you have an appointment?"
"Ah, Yeah... I have a meeting with Joseph Enrique", I mumbled trying to pronounce his name right. I heard Kris snigger at me so I elbowed her lightly to which she responded with an "Ouch!"
"Yes. Miss Tia. Please do come in", the voice replied. As soon as she said that, the door opened automatically, and I stepped inside to see myself surrounded by hundreds of wedding dresses, the colours ranging between white all the way up to black. I was taken in awe at my surroundings. It made my wedding day seem so realistic.
A man suddenly came out of thin air. He was quite a skinny man with a really curly moustache and extra white teeth.
"Ah, madame, welcome to Paris. I hope you are well. Come let me show you the wonderful creation which I have made for you". He said whilst lifting my hand and planting a feather kiss upon it.
He did the same to Kristen before escorting us to a private room which was Swarovski crystals dangling from the ceiling. Canapes and a champagne bottle of Ace of Spades was placed in front of us.
I felt totally out of place by receiving all of this attention, but I knew that once me and Damien were going to get married then this was something I'd have to get used to. Joseph went on talking about the dress for a good 20 minutes. He explained to me that the dress took 62 hours of handmade labor as well as all of the materials being imported from the middle east where their best pieces of fabric came from.
Apparently, the dress was flown in yesterday morning by a private jet too and it was guarded by 2 security guards. I rolled my eyes when he told me this.
He continued telling us that the dress was made with tiny rare white diamonds which my veil was covered and trimmed with too. All of this made me want to know how much this dress actually costed but when I asked he simply laughed and told me that the expenses were paid for.
