Chapter 22

(Peeta's P.O.V)

''Cause she wanted a girl but she got me instead!'' I say to Annie.

This is not good. It's suppose to be a secret. 2 already now so that means it's 2 for much.

''You CAN'T tell ANYONE!'' I say.

She have tears in hers eyes when she walk up to me and hug me tightly.

''Oh Peeta! Tell me about it'' She say.

I don't know why I do it but I feel like I can trust her I begin to tell her everything.

''My mom haven't always been like this, I mean a... witch! She used to be caring and loved me, she used to hold me in her arms and tuck me into bed, kiss my forehead and tell me that when I get bigger I would be an amazing man with many girls after me loving me for who I'm. But she never told me that she would be the first one to hate me. she never told me she did be the first one to slap me or yell at me. When I only was 3 years old something in hers heart changed and she become a monster who never let me forget how w-worthless and useless I actually am. Dad and my brothers always tell me that I'm not any of those thing my mother call me but when you grew up to hear this words you can't help but believe them and what's worse of all is to know that you are getting hurt by someone who is suppose to love you! It's not that I CAN'T fight back it's just I DON'T WANT to cause I don't wanna hurt her. She is my mother and I used to love her and I know for a fact that she has a place in my heart that nobody can replace! '' I explain with tears streaming down my face.

I look at Annie and Finn and see that she is sobbing hers eyes out while he is trying to comfort her with tears in his eyes.

They both pull me into a hug before we decid to inside again.

~ 2 weeks later ~

(Katniss P.O.V)

Everybody in the group have been acting weird and I don't know why. They are all always so busy to talk about anything. We'll maybe they will tell me what's wrong on my birthday on the end of the week.

I'm standing at my locker alone taking out my schoolbooks that I need.

''I heard that they are gonna dump Katniss from The victors cause she is the first one who will 17 years old and that Peeta is gonna break up with her cause he have a crush on someone else!'' I hear on of Delly's friends say to their group.

I run away to the bathroom crying. That can't be true, right?! Yeah they are probably just saying things like always. I try to convince myself but I just can't.

I walk into the classroom and see the hole group sitting on a table. They are talking and laughing.

I see Peeta whisper something in Johanna's ear. She is sitting besides him. She blushes a little before she whispers something back. Peeta once again whisper something to her and she just shake her head while whispering something to him. He tell her one more thing before he kisses he check. He tell her something and she playfully slap his arm while rolling her eyes.

Can it be true?!

Are Peeta gonna break up with me for... Johanna?!?!

I went over to them and when Peeta see me his eyes lights up. He mention to me to sit beside him but I just ignore him cause I'm to mad and take a sit on Delly's table. They all look at me chocked with wide eyes and mouth hanging.

Delly just smirk.

''What do you want Everdeen?'' She ask.

''I heard you guys say that that PETA is in love with someone else. Do you know who it is?'' I ask them.

''I heard it's Johanna but it's strange cause he just had sex with Emily (one of Delly's friend) a few days ago'' Dellys explain.

I feel so hurt and angry right now but then I remember what Peeta said.

You only get one more chance! He said.

Don't do anything you will regret now Katniss! I tell myself.
