When we reach home again, Uncle Eric sits down on the logs near the fireplace inside. "This place is amazing. Makayla, how did you manage it?" he asks.

"Well, it took almost a year to build. But it was worth it. And it's a beautiful place, out here. I mean, wouldn't you love it?" I reply half smiling.

"Well, yes. Since I am a retired man, would you care if a man like me bought this land and helped you make a house out here? I could buy you guys new clothes every year, I could go into town once a week and stock up on food, what do you guys say?" he politely asks.

I look at Jesabelle. She is looking up and nodding her head. So is Johnathan. I think that they would love it out here with my uncle. He is pretty fun. "Ok. Is this land for sale?" I ask.

"You bet. It's always for sale. For some reason, no one seems to know that there is such a place like this for people to live in. So I will buy it. And then I will drive out here with all the stuff that we would need, and together we can all build a 30 foot tall house."

My jaw drops. 30 FEET! That would take years to make. And that's when I remember that he used to build houses for a living. So he would know how to build one very quickly.

"How long do you suppose it would take?" Jesabelle asks.

"Maybe a month at the most. It doesn't take that long when 4 people are building something. But if we are going to do this, let's get started. I will be back tomorrow with all the stuff that we are going need for the next month. See you tomorrow!" Uncle Eric says as he walks off into the distance.

I smile and jump up and down. "What?" Jesabelle asks.

"I am excited that finally something good happens. Nothing good except for meeting you two has been good for the past weeks. And now, something good finally happens!" I yell and laugh. This is amazing.

That night, we don't exactly eat anything but bread. We feast. I have like 3 pieces, and the others have maybe 5. It's a nice night. We laugh and sing and are very cheerful. We talk and talk until we basically fall down!

"Remember the 4 words: Honestly, please calm down!" we all cheer. It's something funny. And like life, there's usually a happy ending...but this isn't the ending.
