The next day, Uncle Eric comes and we begin the process of building. It turns out, he had gone to the store and bought buckets and buckets of clay so that we would'nt have to find it. It was pretty cool. We build all day, every day, laughing at times, joking at times, and trying our hardest to make room for Uncle Eric to fit in with us. It's quite challenging, so instead he sleeps in the bonus bed in the basement.

                        1 Month Later:

"So, we now have a nice house that we will forever get to live in. There are 3 floors, a basement,  a main floor, and an upstairs. I am going to sleep on the main floor. Johnathan, where do you want to sleep?" Uncle Eric asks Johnathan. You see, he has a funny way of doing things. He walks us through the house, and then asks us where we would like to sleep.

"I will take one of the rooms upstairs," Johnathan replies.

"Ok, and Jesabelle, what room will you take?"

"I will take the last bedroom upstairs and share it with Makayla," Jesabelle replies and winks at me.

"So it's settled. Now unpack all the stuff that I brought with me. I have 4 beds, 3 dressers, and blankets."

We all sort our stuff and make our rooms. We have a nice and beautiful house.

That night, we sit by the fire outside and just talk. We share jokes, and laughter. We share our sadness, and our likeness. I even think that we all feel like one crazy family.

"Psst, Kayla," whispers Jesabelle from behind a bush.

"Yes?" I reply and walk over to her.

"I know that you like Johnathan, and he won't stop talking about you, so you know, I don't really care if you two bacame a couple. Just saying. You're my friend. Go have fun. I gotta pee.

So later as Uncle Eric finishes up a story about true love, Johnathan stares at me and mouths: "I love you. Will you be my girlfriend?"

        I mouth back: "Of course."

And he grabs me and we kiss, a long and heated kiss until I almost run out of breath. All I hear is Jesabelle and Uncle Eric clapping in the background.

Everything is fine. And everything is fun.

And for that old little house and my sister's grave, well they are always noticed. The little house is our safe house, and Ellie's grave is a reminder that life like this isn't always fun, and that if anyone can help people, they should. So stop being selfish, and understand how many people like me live in poverty.

And just as I pull away from the kiss, Johnathan brings me back to it. We stay like this, peaceful and unharmed, but still homeless, which isn't good. But I don't mind. I have a family who is sort of a family. One who cares. And is always there. I sit there, remember the day of her death, but also realizing that there are people who care. And that sometime I will have to move on with my life, even if it means forgetting most of the past.
