It was extremely bright and blinding, like the sun, but smaller.

And it was hurtling towards me.

I grabbed my red blade, "Karem, Opil, Magel! Dragon Magic: Exploding fire!"

And then I threw my blade at the the star. It all happend so fast.

First, the impact from the collision of my sword and the star literally blew up in mid-air, causing furious winds. Then, when the winds finally slowed my sword came down in front of Alamar.

He smirked at me,"That was excellent! But, how are you gonna get your sword back?"

He reached to touch its golden hilt,"Ouch! That thing is burning hot! How do you even hold this?" I smiled at him," It was forged by the elite fire elves and my father. I don't really expect you to hold it."

"Well don't be surprised" I smirked. "I am a dragon after all." Alamar chuckled before saying,"Well, Mr. Dragon, our fight doesn't seem to be over yet so if you'll please stand still so I can end it."

He got into a fighting stance, his hands positioned as if they were holding some invisible sword. I smirked at him again,"Are you really gonna try to beat me with air?" He just gave me a light smile.

"Karma, Appear!"

And then a black one handed sword appeared in his hand. I tried to stay as serious as possible, trying to hold my surprise and excitement. "Prince Kalin I would like you to meet my shadow servant, Karma, otherwise known as Death Shadow."

He pointed the sword at me,"Karma let's show this little dragon the power of a Shadow bond."

"Yes, Alamar. We shall teach him true power." A voice spoke. I looked around to see who it was finally coming to the realization that the voice came from the sword Alamar had been holding.

Alamar laughed,"I guess this is your first time seeing a shadow bond."

I scratched my head,"yeah......"

He smiled,"Well come on. I'll give you a lesson if you beat me. And maybe you can get your own Shadow bond."

I heard slight gasps from the crowd but I had already tuned them out before I lost my concentration.

I grinned like a maniac,"Well I just can't pass up that offer can I? I mean who knows, maybe I will get a Shadow bond."

I lunged forward, catching Alamar by surprise as he barely blocked with his dark sword. He quickly countered before I had a chance to regain my footing. I quickly jumped away before he could strike. As I regained my footing, I chanted a special incantation.

"Dracor, Wilmir. Body Release!"

I suddenly felt pain all over my body.Golden wings stretched out of my back and silver horns grew out of my head. Then, a golden tail grew out of my tailbone.

And to top it all off, my teeth became sharper than before. I've never used this spell because I've never had the chance to use it because of my so-called 'duties'.

I heard gasps from the crowd watching us. I looked over at my sister. She gave me a worried look but I gave her a reassuring smile.

I charged towards Alamar with a greater speed than before. I thrusted my sword towards his hand to knock his weapon away.

He barely dodged, dazed about my new body features.
"How extraordinary! And your speed and strength must have increased too!"

I gave him a toothy grin. "Well, I wouldn't be the next king if I wasn't strong enough to beat you now would I?"

I then made continuous attacks towards Alamar. Giving Alamar less time to dodge my attacks.

When he finally hit me with a counter attack, I blocked it, but then blew fire in his face.

While he was busy trying to put out the fire in his hair, I went in for a blow to the chest, successfully.

By this time he had finally put out the fire in his hair and was now holding his stomach after my strong blow.

But, I wasn't finished, A voice told me.

I needed more.

More power.

I wanted to become stronger.

I charged toward Alamar, grabbing his shoulders and kicking him in his stomach. He fell on his face coughing and panting after I backed away. My tail seemed to move on it's own when it wrapped around Alamar's waist.

Power.

I heard panicked yelling from the crowd but my body wouldn't listen to me. It wasn't even my body anymore.

More Power.

My tail squeezed his waist.

POWER.

It squeezed harder and harder. I could hear Alamar trying to gasp for air as he struggled to escape my golden tail.

MORE POWER.

Then I heard my sister.

"KALIN, STOP YOU'RE GONNA KILL HIM!"

And then my body stopped. It stopped squeezing Alamar. My vision then suddenly went black.

I could hear everyone yelling and gasping. I could hear my sister yelling at the guards to retrieve the royal healer. I could hear the voice again.

Weakling. You don't deserve my power.
