The Missing And The Found

     We waited for a few more minutes when I heard Jenny's and I saw aris bright red hat and we walked over to meet them halfway through the food court. then we all walked out to the cars and we drove to Ari house. as soon as we parked in the driveway Ari and Bryan ran out of the house with Jenny and Alex behind them with water guns jake and I looked at each other and jake locked the doors from the driverside and I rolled up my window  and observed what was going on in the front yard of Ari's home Ari and Bryan was completely  defenseless. after 20 minutes of this going on, they gave it a rest and walked in the house dropping their weapons in the bucket by the door. Jake and I walked into the house bags in hand and we walked to my room. yes, I have my own room my parents are always out of town so when I was little so I would stay here and Ari's older brother would watch us. her brother was 17 at the time now he's in his 20s and in the army, We don't see much of Jordan because of it. We all still write to him letting him know we miss him and that we love him. sometimes Jackson would come here and stay but a lot of times he would be with his nanny or with grandma and grandpa. 

After setting our bags down at the bench at the edge of the bed I laid back on the bed and closed my eyes feeling a sigh leave my lips like a bit of weight was lifted off my shoulder and that's when I felt the bed dip down and a hand go to my hair I knew it was Jake. 

"you okay shy?"  I sighed opened my eyes and sat up playing with my fingers its a habit of mine when I get nervous Jake copied my actions then took my hand in his. He knew the struggle it was to deal with missing sky and not having my parents around to talk to about it I hardly see them around and I can never hug my baby brother for more than a few minutes because when I try he is always being put somewhere to stay because my parents never being home.

"Yeah I'm okay just..i don't know I feel stressed" He kissed my forehead 

"I know wanna go down and watch a movie to distract you for a while?"

"yeah sure" I nodded my head got up and Jake ran to the door opens the door 

"ladies first" he yelled. 

"you are such a dork" I laughed 

"there's the beautiful smile I wanted to see" Then I noticed I was smiling and it was because I was happy I had someone like Jake in my life. 

As we walked down the stairs and into the living room everyone was spread out on the floor and talking and Jake and I sat on the couch. 

"Hey shy?" Jake asked 

"Yeah" I looked up from my phone screen.

"Have you ever counted shoulders?" he reached his arm up counted his right shoulder  

"One" then his left went 

"Two" my right shoulder  

"Three" wrapped his arm around me and then said 

"Four" and laid his arm down and I laughed and smiled went right back to playing on my phone  

"WHY CAN'T YOU DO CUTE SHIT LIKE THAT BRYAN" Ari yelled I forgot we were being watched and I burst into laughter. Then for the rest of the time, we just laughed our asses off watching movies and just enjoyed being around each other its times like this that mean the most to me. 

Then my phone went off and I looked down a message from unknown... 

*unknown*  ~shiloh~ 

*Can you meet me tonight?* 

~No I'm with friends and I'm not all that excited about meeting a stranger at night~

No reply after that so I put my phone in Jakes hoodie pocket and didn't check it after that and that's where I left it till later that night when he handed it back to me to put it on the charger. Then we both drifted off to sleep.
