The Missing And The Found

Jake and I went to the diner we sat in our booth and waited for the waitress to come take our order she walked over and asked what we wanted to drink  I asked for a coffee to start  jake wanted a chocolate shake I thoought he was crazy I was freezing cold.

"Aren't you cold?" he looked up at me and then smiled

"Your gonna take one drink out of that coffee and then your gonna scrunch your nose up like its gross and then im gonna take your coffee and your gonna drink my milkshake because your gonna feel bad and your not gonna wanna send it back" He laughed like it was reoccuring but it was funny

"And your assuming that" I raised my eyebrows at him and he smiled at me again and reached across the table and and placed his warm hands on my cold ones and looked me in the eyes with his soft brown eyes

"No, do you remeber 3 years ago around christmas time when you and I were just friends it was a few months before we got together Ari and Jenny were on dates with Alex and Bryan you were bored at home and messaged if I wanted to get some food maybe catch a movie we came here and you ordered a coffee took one drink out of it scrunched your nose up at it I was drinking a chocolate milkshake and then i took your coffee and you drank my milkshake because you didnt want to be rude and send it back."

"You hate coffee though"I looked up at him and with an eye brow raied as the waiter braught over three cups i she set down jakes milkhake the cup of coffee and what looked like hot chocolate 

"I didnt mean to listen in on your conversation but I braught you a hot chocolate to incase you dont like the coffee on me our coffee isnt the best" she smiled and walked away I picked up the coffee and let it warm up my hands putting the side of the mug to my face with jake watching me waiting for me to look disgusted I took a sip of the coffee and it was nasty so I picked up the hot chocolate and took a drink of it and it was better.

Jake laughed and i smiled he took a drink of his mild shake with whipped cream i stuck my finger in it and licked it off my finger and Jake looked offended well he tried to then he smiled and I laughed

"Really shy why would you do that" Jake pouted his lip and it caused me to smile and laugh a little and thats when he looked me in the eyes with a serious looked

"Are we gonna talk about what happend?"  I sighed and nodded me head yes and looked up blinking away the tears that were threatening to spill out within seconds

"My parents lied when they said skylar was dead the coffen that they burried was empty.I asked my dad for the key to her room and he let me have it i found her diary and read it and the last thing she wrote was about her leaving and me and i showed it to my mom and she accused me of stealing it and hiding it from the police and she grounded me but I didnt steal it so I left." Jake's  eyes were wide with suprise

"wait so sky might not be dead?" he asked

"no she could still be alive and its unbelieveable right?" he nodded her head and we sat there for a few more hours talking about it and discussing some impossible things that happend like she was kiddnapped  by pirates or she was a vampire and got married to a super hot mysterious vampire and they ran off into the darkness together. But we never really knew the truth me finding this out is just the begining of it all. I didnt want to go home so I conviced Jake to ask his mom if I she said yes so we went back to my house so I could pack a bag it was after 2 AM so i snuck in and up the stairs and went in my room to see my mom sitting on my bed I rolled my eyes and walked over to my closet grabbing a bag and setting it on my bad.

"WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN MARIE ALEXANDRA?" she yelled and I rolled my eyes at her attempt of playing mom

" You never had a problem with me being out any other day that was dads job to worry remeber so go back to work and worry about your husband finding out that your cheating because im done pretending like everything you do dosent effect me or your son because it does you have never wanted to play mom so dont start now on my account so piss off" I back fired and started shoving enough clothes for weeks in my bag

"That is enough I am not cheating on your father and I dont have to play your mom because thats what I am, your mom and where the hell do you think your going. " she stood up and looked at me with a raised eyebrow

"Away for a few days and no your just the woman who gave birth to me Lilith" I said lookung her in the eyes and she looked hurt i put my bag over my shoulder and picked up skylars lap top and my charger it would fit and walked out the door down the stairs and over to the coffee table she looked at me as i picked up skylars diary and I walked over to the door and picked up my keys

"SHILOH IF YOU WALK OUT THAT DOOR YOU ARE GROUNDED FOR THE NEXT TWO MONTHS AND I MEAN IT." my dad walked down the stairs and looked at me and i looked at him said a quick I love you ad gave him enough time to say it back and with that I walked out the door and to Jakes car shoving everything in the back and getting in the passenger seat and letting him drive to his house.
