"So he spends the night and y'all did absolutely nothing?" Marcia asked, crossing her arms as she sat on Sophia's desk chair.

"I promise, nothing happened last night." Sophia rolled her eyes, looking through her closet for something to wear for the party that night.

"I don't believe you. You're not gonna be in bed with a guy that cute and not do anything."

"Marcie, holy shit. I don't even know if he's single, or if he likes me, or if I like him!"

"Well, I know the answer to all three of those things," Marcia started, smirking and standing from her spot.

"He's been single since like November of last year. Him and his ex Liza posted a video about it a few months ago. He still seems a little hung up but ready to move on because I see the way he looks at you. He's made so much effort to hang out with you because he likes you."

"Oh my god. He does not like me!" Sophia groaned, grabbing her favorite pair of black skinny jeans and slipping them on.

"And you like him because you've changed your outfit three times in the past ten minutes."

Sophia rolled her eyes, throwing her cropped sweater over her head. She looked at the time and gasped, gathering her belongings quickly. It was almost 9, and David would be there any minute.

"How do I look?" Sophia wondered, spinning in front of Marcia.

"Good. Go get your man."

"He's not my man. Are you sure you don't wanna come?" Sophia pouted, reaching for her best friend's hand.

"I have a showing at 9 AM tomorrow. I can't. Have fun babe." Marcia laughed, shooing her out of the apartment.

David sent her a quick text as he pulled up to the building. Sophia went down the elevator, looking at her outfit in the mirror. Was it too laid back? She didn't want to overdo it, but she wanted to look good.

She hopped into the car, smiling widely as he hugged her and took off onto the street. After being in the car with David a few times, she knew that he drove like a maniac. He cut people off and treated the speed limit like a suggestion, but it was something she didn't mind because she was the same way. She liked to describe her life choices as organized chaos, her driving style being a perfect example of that.

"Did my all-black wardrobe inspire your outfit?" David wondered, smiling playfully.

"You really think the world revolves around you, don't you Dobrik?" Sophia giggled, shaking her head.

David handed her the aux and she scrolled through his music before picking out a few songs to queue.

"Your music taste makes me sad."

"What? My music taste is good!" David gasped, holding his chest in mock hurt.

"We need to educate you soon. This really hurts." Sophia laughed, shaking her head playfully.

David pushed her to play music that she's into and she took the time to show him her favorite artists and songs at the moment. David was really receptive and enjoyed everything she showed him. After a 30 minute drive, David pulled up to the house the party was at. Sophia didn't know why she was nervous. She had met a few of his friends before, and it wasn't a big deal. Deep down, she knew she wanted them to like her.

"You ready?" David asked, camera in hand.

"Let's do it."
