He'd been unusually quiet for the past few days. You weren't sure what it was, but there was definitely something plaguing his mind.

"What is it, Commander?" You asked.

He jerked his head upward at the sound of your voice, meeting your gaze as he replied "What do you mean, Doctor?"

"Something's bothering you." You stated. Before he could interrupt you, you warned him, "And don't try and tell me that there isn't, because I know these things. It's my job to know these things. So what's wrong?"

"I am not sure you would be intere-"

"-Spock." You stopped him "I've been a psychiatrist for nearly 6 years; I've heard it all. There is not anything you could tell me that could possibly bore me more than when I used to have to listen to an old client, Mr Davies, ramble on about milk ruining his life. Now, out with it."

Spock was hesitant at first but his expression soon softened. "I have been worrying lately."

"About what?"

It took him a few moments before he spoke again. "Since myself and luitenant Uhura terminated our relationship, I have been fearing that it is rather unlikely for someone like myself to ever become involved in a romantic relationship again."

"Why? Because your still hung up on her, or because of your personality."

"It is not just my personality Miss (L/N), it is my heritage and my culture; I understand that it makes me somewhat intolerable at times." He explained.

"There's nothing wrong with you, Spock." you comforted "Your just going through a little bit of a rough patch. There's plenty of people on this ship that are completely adoring of you, just as you are."

Spock kept quiet, his jaw stayed tense and his gaze was fixed on his hands.

You reached up and took his chin gently in your hand, pulling his head up and toward you, so his lips met yours.

This kiss was short, but tender, and warm. As you pulled away, you found the shock on Spock's face rather amusing.

"You- You kissed me?" He whispered.

You smiled running a thumb along the contours of his face, tracing his jawline. "It was only logical."
