I could feel my body slowly waking up no matter how much I willed it not to. Admitting defeat, I swung my legs around the side of my bed and brushed my hair from my face with my fingertips. The pounding of the music from the night before still rang throwing my head but my body didn't want to throw up and I had no hangover. Relieved that I would be able to function pro play today, I stared at my reflection in the mirror, I went through my daily routine of criticising every part of me, thighs to wide, no six pack and another spot appearing between my eyebrows. Sighing, I made my way downstairs,
"Breakfast," I shouted up the stairs, moments later four sets of feet came scrambling towards the kitchen, screaming and determined to get to the table first.
I placed the bowls and spoons on the table and stared at my new foster siblings, three little girls, all who had never brushed their teeth or had a shower before they came to live with us yesterday. I glanced at my brother who I could tell was feeling the same empathy for the girls as I was.
They had been taken into care in an emergency, that's all I was told, that's all I'm ever told, venerable and agitated they had arrived at our house late last afternoon, my mum had washed them and treated them like princesses. Throughout the late evening they had begun to trust our family however I was still surprised at how well they had become part of the family. I almost didn't want them to settle in as I knew they wouldn't be staying here for long, social services would try to find them a house to stay in that could look after them for a longer period of time then we could.

I closed our front door and plugged my headphones into my iPod. I smiled at the sun before walking down the road on my way to the climbing wall for a session with my coach.
Two miles later I switch my iPod off and pushed the climbing Centre door open.
"Morning," my coach, Alex shouted across the centre at me, "you are going to die today."
I groaned and unpacked my equipment from the bag that was on my back.
After I fell off the same climb four times Alex finally accepted that he wasn't going to get much more out of me today. I began to pack up, dreading the walk back home.
"Where are you going?" questioned Alex, "you still have 200 press ups to go and your quads will need a good stretch after today's session."
I felt like curling up into a ball and falling into a deep sleep, acting like a stereotypical teenager, I dropped to the floor unwillingly and began to push my body up and down.
"Good session?" my mum called as I practically crawled through the front door.
"I need to lie down," I panted.
"Yay, Cammie's home!" my 11 year old brother called out like he was still a toddler, he hurtled into me causing me to fall flat on my bum. The three girls stood cautiously sniggering behind him, I gave my brother a quick slap on the top of the head and turned to the girls.
"What have you three gorgeous girls been up to?"
