Jess and I posed at our reflection in the darkened windows at the entrance to school as 'last christmas' sounded through my headphones. Laughing, we made our way down the hall. The sorry christmas tree that the school had put up leaned against the side of the classroom. The teachers were all wearing christmas jumpers in some attempt to raid money for something and keep everyone in the festive spirit. Six days until Christmas and we were being made to watch a staff pantomime and sit on the floor of our sports hall until our bums were numb but still I was smiling, christmas was coming.

Ali was busy telling the waitress that she'd ordered rocket on her pizza.
We were sat outside the pizzeria on the local high street celebrating the fact that school was over.
"Bee, what's happening on New Years?" I asked whilst simultaneously stuffing myself with our favourite pizza of sweet chilli chicken and mushrooms.
"I don't know," she complained in response, "my sister's organising it."
"Are you going to kiss Hamish at midnight? You know you both want to," I teased. She stuck her tongue out in response.
"Shit," Lou muttered as she made that awkward eye contact with one of our teachers that was on the bus that had just pulled up I front of the café. We allied waved and giggled at the confused look that the teacher was giving us as the bus drive away.
