A/N: Okay, after i wrote this chapter i realised that i ended the last chapter with Zak and Kate spending the night together at Kates home. However when i wrote this chapter i set it in Zaks home as it slipped my mind that i had left off at Kates home. Therefore i havent chanhed this so i ask you bare with me as i have had a stressful few weeks and play along with the idea that they are at Zaks home and not Kates. Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience.

The morning sun seeped through the blinds gracing over Zaks sleeping form. The sunlight awoke him from his deep sleep causing him to smile to himself at the thought of last night's events. He turned expecting the sleeping form of Kate to be beside him, but his face fell into a frown at the sight of the vacant matress. He sat up rubbing his eyes with a sigh had I imagined last night? He tried to shake the thought from his head but felt his mood suddenly start to plummet as all excitement began to fade. He pulled his boxers on before heading to the kitchen for some much needed coffee, he made it half way down his hallway before he realised that another voice was ringing throughout the house, he could hear music being played in the background making him even more confused. He continued to make his way down the hallway to his kitchen, he stopped in his tracks as he stood just in the open living room that had a clear view of the kitchen. A grin found it's way on his face as he watched Kate dance about the kitchen singing along to sangria, he chuckled slightly at the sight of her flour covered face as he noticed the mess she had made as she attempted to make pancakes. She had failed to notice his presence as her focus was on the music and the two dogs prancing about her feet. He smirked as he silently took a seat on the stool at the island behind her. She turned as she sang passionately into the wooden spoon, he waved at her as she jumped at the mere sight of his smirking presence. "How long have you been there?" She blushed as she scratched her neck awkwardly, he stood and approached her "long enough to know that your a terrible pancake maker but an incredible dancer" she smiled as he wrapped his strong arms around her "I'm glad your here though even if you have completely destroyed what was once my kitchen" she scanned the room before arching an eyebrow. "Excuse me, this is the work of an artist!" he smirks "last time I checked Gordon Ramsay never left this kind of mess after cooking a 'masterpiece'. It looks like a bomb hit" he chuckled as she rolled her eyes "drama queen". He smirked as he picked her up and placed her on the island top, she smiled as she leaned in kissing him softly. He kissed her back a little more roughly before she pulled away. "As much as i'd like to repeat last night's fun, we have to meet the guys in an hour so it's probably best we shower and dress" he pouted as she giggled giving his a quick kiss on his lips "you'll survive" She hopped down before handing him a cup of coffee and heading towards the living room and seating herself on the sofa. He smiles following her and sitting beside her so that his body faced her. "We have a few things to discuss" he could tell she was nervous, he knew why they needed to talk but he was worried about the outcome. "So I suppose we should discuss what this means for us now" he watched as she seemed very interested in her fingernails, he thought for a moment before speaking. "Well I'd really like to pursue a relationship with you, and I still would love to take you on that date friday" Kate looks up with a smile "really?" He grins nodding "As long as you want the same thing" she nods before leaning forward and resting her head on his chest "so we are sorta in the area of dating?" He hums in agreement before a smirk appears on his face, he stands pulling a squealing Kate with him, he throws her over his shoulder before leading her down the hall towards the bathroom. "What in God's name are you doing?" Her giggle rang out as she tried to speak, he chuckled as he switched the shower on and stepped in letting the water fall over them. He placed her down and she laughed "your such a child!" He grinned as he pulled her close for a kiss. "Smooth" she grinned as she succumbed to him.

An hour later and the two had finally arrived at the hospital car park where a frustrated Aaron, Jay and Billy stood. Kate frowned turning to Zak who looked sheepish "okay, remember for now no one needs to know about us" he nods smiling at her. She smiles softly before stepping out and heading over to Aaron with Zak following. She smiled at a smirking Aaron "you two are late" Zak rolls his eyes as he passes the group "I decided to pick Kate up on my way here" he tried to play it off but something about the guys expressions told him they knew something "Yeah, the problem with that is that.. well we popped by Kate's this morning to pick her up and found that she wasn't home nor did it seem like she had been there the night before" Kate frowned. "How could you know that?" Aaron took on a sheepish look as he spoke "I kinda used my key to check if you were home" she sighed as she glanced at Zak in panic. "She spent the night at mine as she was afraid to drive home in the dark" Aaron rolled his eyes with a smile "Yeah if your gonna lie then make it a believable one" Zak frowned in confusion as Kate spoke up "I love driving in the dark, it helps me clear my head" Zak nods as Kate frowns "It's okay, I know you spent the night with Zak" Aaron smiled as Billy and Jay nodded encouragingly "if were honest, we have been rooting for you two to get together for years" Billy grins as Jay nods "about bloody time if you ask me" Kate smiles as Zak chuckles. The guys share a laugh but Kate's attention is drawn to a window above them, her eyes meet a set of black ones. A dark figure stares back at her as she stares into the darkness of the room. Her focus is so fixated on the figure in the window that she fails to hear the guys calling to her, nor does she feel Aaron's hand on her arm attempting to get her attention. How could you do that to him? You killed him. You let him die. Your a murderer! Her head began to thud as the voice continuously rang through her head, it caused her anxiety to increase and her palms to sweat. No matter how hard she fought the urge to watch the figure in the window, she was unable to move or speak. Fear had taken full control now as she felt something grasp her arm, the figure was suddenly in front of her as she screamed in terror trying to pry the arms of this creature off of her. She continued to scream and fight, her inner fighter coming out as she swung an arm and came into contact with something with force. "OW!" she heard the cry of pain, causing her to come out of her trance. She stared at Zak who now stood a few feet away from her clutching his needing nose, he looked at her in both fear and confusion. The fear appeared to be for her, rather than of her. She frowned as she watched Billy lead him to the SUV to clean his nose up. She reached up feeling the tears steaming down her face, her confusion grew as she hadn't even realised she was crying. Jay and Aaron cautiously approached her "Kate?" Jays voice was soft as he met her eyes with a worried look. He clearly knew something was still up as she continuously looked around her in fear, "Katie?" She looked at Aaron as he took a hold of her hand "it's okay" she shook her head as she continued to shake, her whole body trembling as he tried to pull her in for a hug. She seemed distant, her eyes scanning around her as if looking for something, or someone. He watched her knowing just who she was searching for, he smiled slightly seeing the trust and love that her and Zak already shared. She cried harder as she tried to make sense of what had just occurred. Aaron caught sight of a now patched up but bruised Zak and Billy. They looked concerned, especially at the sight of Kate. He watched as Zaks pace increased in speed at the sight of her broken and trembling form. She looked up meeting his eyes, and without a second thought she ran into his chest crying heavily as she clung to him for safety. He frowned as he held her close "I'm sorry" he heard her soft croaky voice in between her cries, she was feeling guilty for hurting him. He shook his head "it's okay, it wasn't your fault" she trembled as he held her. "I'm scared. I wanna go home" he nodded "I'm gonna take her to mine, keep an eye on her" the guys nodded "I'll come check on her later" Aaron frowned as he kissed her atop her head "call me Katie if you need me" she nodded without looking at him. "Take some still shots and get some shots for the episode" the guys nodded as Zak gave them various instructions. He nodded to them as he led her to the car. As she sat there waiting for Zak to get in, she glanced up at the window again, the figure still stood staring down at her with a menacing smile. A shiver ran down her spine... you think your safe, think again murderer!
