Kenzie's POV
"I don't believe mother is doing this to me. I mean, I'm already a woman. Does she not remember?" I yelled angrily at my best friends.
Princess Julianna Leblanc, princess of Maya and Lady Lauren Orlando, daughter of the duke and duchess of Orlando.
"Just because she took away him. Doesn't mean you are any less than a woman. Come here now, lets get you some wine. Jenice, wine please." Annie said as she sat me down.
Then a servant brought us a bottle of wine and three glasses. She poured us each a glass.
I too a sip then another servant came through my door. "Your majesty. Your mother is requesting you Princess Mackenzie." The servant spoke.
"Thank you Carlos." I said then talked to my friends, "I'll be right back." I said then sat up and fixed my gown. I walked out with two guards by my side then walked to my mother's chambers.
"Your majesty, Princess Mackenzie." I walked in and saw her putting on her earrings.
"Morning mother." I said as I walked to her.
"Morning darling. Pick out a necklace for me." She ordered.
"Here, it matches your dress." I said then put it on for her. "Now, why would you want me here?" I asked and I sat down on the cushion chair.
"Change your dress. We have company today." My mother said.
"So that's why you brought me here? To tell me how to dress?" I spoke.
"Not just that." She waved at a servant to hand her the platter of jewels. "Two boys, young men. One Eligible. Lady Lauren's brother, Sir Johnny, and Prince Hayden Summerall. Who isn't eligible,"
"He's arranged to marry Annie. I know. Isn't he my cousin?" I giggled.
"Yes. Sadly from your father's side. Which means-"
"He has a right to the throne."
"Yes. But his mother is already a queen. So automatically he has that throne."
"Still, a man can rule multiple countries. And also the queen wil-"
"So your saying Annie will take my country from me? Maddie ran off, I had to stay here. Who knows where Maddie is. Because of you and father, she's banned from here until I'm queen!" I yelled then ran off to my chambers. No one was there since where I was before was Annie's chamber. "Carrie, get all my elegant dresses aligned for me. I need to impress Johnny."
-
"Here is a red rose gown, shipped from Italy." A servant held out.
"No. I need perfection." I said then looked through it more. "Perfect."
I changed into a gold dress made in Paris. It was shining in the sunlight that poured out of the windows. I wore dangling earrings made out of silver. My hair was down and curly with my crown.
