Cupid day is tomorrow, cupid day is tomorrow, cupid day is TOMORROW.

And just this morning you had received two letters in your locker, complete with cute stickers and names that weren't the people you wanted to receive it from.

Ughhhhh.

You were sitting at the vacant school rooftop, facing a blue sheet of paper and a pen in hand. Just like the neat handwriting of my secret admirers, I will sincerely put my everything into this letter.

Kang Daniel, "I really, really, really like--"

"You asked me to skip my date with Guanlin to study English and yet here you are writing a crappy, cheesy, and horrible love letter on some run-of-the-mill stationary middle schoolers use," Jihoon started, eyeing you up and down with pure disdain. "I wasn’t going to say anything about it, but what a way to woo your man. Yup, definitely. Now give me your homework."

"I--" You tried to respond but found yourself unable to make up a proper comeback, suddenly offended at the fact Jihoon just called your feelings crappy, cheesy, and horrible.

"The nerve of you to ask for my homework when you just talked crap about my very sincere feelings," you exclaimed, but tossed him your notebook anyway.

"Thank you so much, sensei," Jihoon beamed, putting emphasis on the last word.

You had been given free classes since this morning, since the teachers were all busy attending some school meeting or something like that. You already started to regret coming to school because you'd rather sleep than sit here and do nothing at all.

"The main point is," you sucked in a deep breath. "Code red, I need help. How do you write a love letter without making it sound too cheesy or cringey?"

"And why are you asking me?" Jihoon raised an eyebrow questioningly, as if you had just asked him to jump off the building.

"Because unlike me, you have experience."

"I don't do with love letters," Jihoon makes a grimace and takes the empty spot to sit beside you. "Too cliché. Besides, you can just send him a text. It's the modern times, you don't have to write letters anymore."

"I was planning to have him open the letter after he lands in America," You frowned and stared down at the blank paper in your hand.

Jihoon furrowed his eyebrows this time. "After he lands in America? But wouldn't that mean... he won't know of your real feelings until he's gone?" As crazy as it sounded, even if Jihoon had some kind of crush dilemma concerning you, he wanted you to get everything over with without regrets.

Biting on the inside of your cheek, you mumbled. "Well, shouldn't I?"

"If you want him to know how you feel, you should just tell him straight. And with a little more effort than... this," Jihoon glanced at the empty sheet of paper and you quickly folded it up and pushed it into your pocket.
