There lived a man named Jesse, he had a normal life just like everyone else. He lived in a quiet little town along with his beloved fiancée, Sarren. She works in the outskirts of town, whilst Jesse works at a gun shop. Sarren leaves for work early at dawn, and comes home late at night, despite this, they had a strong relationship. He enjoys fantasy and usually dreams about them. But his life is about to change in a matter of one night.
It was a normal night, not much had happened, although his fiancée couldn't make it home, she had to stay at the office longer that night, so he went to bed and dreamt of strange creatures...
"What in the world...?" he said to himself
he was a wolf, but... standing? But he isn't a werewolf either, he couldn't quite make out what he was, it is as if he was an anthropomorphic wolf that came from children's story books, his fur is as white as snow, he could talk and kept his intelligence, he was very intrigued and fascinated. But then he saw a mirror, he could see himself as a normal human being... but going insane, he looked in terror as he saw the projection in the mirror rolling in pain, screaming and slowly changing into the form he is in, he looked away from the mirror and didn't look back, but his screams of pain and insanity could still be heard and scaring him to the bone.
He wakes up in fear many times before, but that was mostly because he dreamt of adventuring and fighting dragons, but this was different
"What was that all about?" He sighed, then stood up, "AAEH!?" He saw his hands had changed to a paw, much like that of a wolf's
He quickly ran to a mirror, and saw that his whole body had been completely transformed to the one he saw in his dream
"Wha- what happened? Why am I like this?" he said as he trembles in fear
He slaps himself to make sure he wasn't dreaming, nothing happened "This can't be happening, this doesn't make any sense! What happened to me!?"
At that point he laid on the floor in defeat, how will he come to work today? How will he explain this to Sarren? He sighs, before getting up and thinking of an idea to not get himself noticed by people.
He came up with an idea to wear a hoodie or even a robe to keep his wolfish face away from the sight of other people.
But then he suddenly felt a pain in his stomach, "Ow... did I eat last night?"
He went to the fridge to find only 3 slices of leftover pizza, "I guess this'll have to do" he took them all, put in in the microwave and then started eating them
"Has the tomato sauce gone bad? How long has this been in the fridge?" he threw it all in the trash bin and took an apple instead, he took a bite out of it while walking back to his room to suit up "This apple tastes weird, but I could've sworn I only bought this yesterday"
then at that moment he realized... he's part wolf, and wolves don't typically eat fruits and vegetables, he sighed and wore a black hoodie after he put the apple on his desk, he hopes he doesn't bump into anyone, he's already late for work, and letting them notice what he is will not make things easy for him.
He drove to the shop and walked inside, his co-worker Ty is already waiting for him
"You're late, Jesse" Ty began looking at Jesse with a confused look, "You sick?" he asked Jesse
"I'm good, I just have a little cold, that's all"
"Well you don't have to hide your face, we're selling guns here, and we don't wanna make anything look shady, now do we?"
Jesse walked behind the counter "I think It'll be alright, besides, there's not much to look at my face anyway"
Ty chuckled "Aight, but if you get in trouble, then don't come to me for help. I'll go back to do my thing, you take care of the customers aight? Oh, and if they tell you to take that hood off, then please do, you don't wanna give 'em the impression like you're some kind o-"
